1 in 3 Toys Found “Toxic” says CNN; Hasbro However Tests Clean

An article on CNN was released today stating that watchdog group HealthyToys.org claims that 1 in 3 toys on the market today contain toxic levels of chemicals like lead, arsenic, mercury, and others. However, what the CNN article does not mention is that Hasbro’s 2 most popular brands, Transformers and Star Wars, do not show those signs.

In fact, the HealthyToys.org listings for both Transformers and Star Wars run low or very low. Even better, Hasbro’s TF and SW brands placed at the top of their “best toys” list for action figures with fewest detections of toxins.

The site lists tests and their results in parts-per-million for each listed toxin. As well, some toys have asterisk entries for additional toxins found that aren’t in their normal list, but do not mention how high those are.
