The Hub Starts Airing G1 Transformers Tomorrow

For those who don’t know, The Hub is the cable station that is a partnership between Hasbro and Discovery, taking over for Discovery Kids. The station started today on 10-10-10, and tomorrow will begin airing the original The Transformers at 9pm (check your local listings though), followed at 9:30 by the original GI Joe: A Real American Hero – it’s ’80s cartoon excitement! Transformers seems to be airing Monday through Thursday.  So if you’ve wanted to watch Transformers again from the start, now’s your chance.

Transformers: The Movie Screening in Los Angeles this Saturday

Yes, it’s true, at Quentin Tarantino’s New Beverly Cinema in West Hollywood this Saturday, Sept 4th, at midnight, they’ll be screening the 1986 classic Transformers: The Movie! Come see your favorite Transformers characters get swept out the door in favor of then-new figures for the kiddies to get suckered into buying despite a mediocre new leading cast. But if you’ve never seen Optimus Prime kick the most ass ever on the big-screen (and I am including the Bay films in that), then Saturday at midnight should be your destiny.  Check out more and buy tickets at the New Beverly Cinema’s website.

San Diego Comic-Con Hasbro Booth Autograph Schedule

For those who are going to San Diego Comic-Con later this week, Hasbro will be having 3 autograph sessions at their booth (#3212) in the exhibitor hall. Marvel legend Stan Lee, wrestling icon and GI Joe character Sgt. Slaughter, and writer & Transformers: Exodus author Alex Irvine will each be signing at the Hasbro booth at this year’s Comic-Con. Botcon 2011

Congratulations to any west-coasters. At tonight’s Hall of Fame dinner it was revealed that the 2011 BotCon convention will be taking place in Pasadena, California. The official dates are June 2nd through 5th, 2011.
