Combiner Wars Firefly (Fireflight) Review

Firefly-107Combiner Wars deluxe Firefly is the current name Hasbro has given to G1 Aerialbot Fireflight. While the original figure transformed into an F-4 Phantom II, this new Firefly transforms into a Harrier jumpjet. While Firefly came out first, it’s a reuse of the Quickslinger body — the majority of the details between this review and Quickslinger will be the same.  Read on for the Firefly review and photos. Combiner Wars Drag Strip Review

Drag Strip-108Combiner Wars deluxe Drag Strip is a classic member of the Stunticons. Released in CW wave 1, Drag Strip ships not with a comic book but a collector card instead, making him the first Stunticon in the new line. Combiner Wars Air Raid Review

Air Raid-101Combiner Wars deluxe Air Raid is a classic member of the Aerialbots, a youthful bot that smashes his way into battle. Air Raid transforms into an F-14 Tomcat fighter plane just like his G1 version, and it’s interesting to have another 1980s vehicle in the mix rather than an updated, modern designed jet; of course he also transforms into a combiner leg or arm. Aside from Quickslinger who is getting an online-exclusive release, Air Raid is the last Aerialbot to be released. Read on for the full review and photos. (…more)

Combiner Wars Breakdown Review

Breakdown-110Combiner Wars deluxe Breakdown is a classic member of the Stunticons, the paranoid bot that’s traditionally the right leg of Menasor. Breakdown is part of the second wave of Combiner Wars, and comes with a comic book. With Wildrider having been renamed “Brake-Neck”, Breakdown’s name is no longer as unique as it used to be, but he’s still having an emotional breakdown thinking everyone is out to get him. Breakdown transforms into a mid-engine supercar highly reminiscent of a Lamborghini Countach, as well as a combiner leg or arm.  Read on for the full review and photos. (…more)

Combiner Wars Powerglide Review

Powerglide-107Combiner Wars legends-class Powerglide is a classic G1 character that’s only recently been inducted into the ranks of the Aerialbots, transforming from A-10 Thunderbolt II (aka the Warthog) jet to robot and now to Superion’s rifle, essentially making him a triple-changer and a Targetmaster. This is the second Generations-line new mold for Powerglide, the previous coming in 2008 in the Universe line as a much larger ultra-class figure. Read on for the full review and photos. (…more)
