Law is a sentimental favorite of mine. (Hey, I like dogs....)

I am hoping they make Mindbender before mid-09, as the movie will kill any chance of getting that toy.

I have to wonder that too. He's clearly one of the major Cobra characters, and such, so what's the deal? The only thing I can think of is that they were planning to do a "revamped" version ala Zartan or Serpentor, or a shoddy cobbled-together guy like Bludd is, and fan backlash on those figures made Hasbro go back on it.

Thinking, he'd need an entirely new mould, or at the least a new body, because I don't see any body working for Mindbender. 'Maybe' Gung-Ho's but that's it.

I dunno if the movie line would kill all chances of Mindbender. Hasbro already said there'll be non-Movie guys in it, and looking at the TF line, I'd expect it. Early '09 seems to be focusing on the Resolute ('Omega Force') figures, so if Mindbender shows up in there, it's possible we'll see him.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

Ah, but a resolute Mindbender or a movie-bender will not necessarily look like the Mindbender we know and love. I do not mind new character models, (barring stuff like TFA), but what I, and BWP want, is something that looks like Mindbender as he has been drawn.

I do not recall people complaining about the Zartan figure. And, most of the Serpentor complaints I recall were actually based on the fact that Serpentor was made at all, rather than how the toy was made. (And, I say that as somebody who did not like the new Serpentor for a number of reasons.) Mindbender would likely get some complaints from the "GI Joe am reallife-istic" crowd, but to hell with them.

Maybe it was Hasbro being antsy about making a toy of a guy with purple pants, metal suspenders and crotch-guard, a cape and no shirt? Of course, if that were the case, they could simply go with one of the DDP models. I kind of liked Cambridge Yoga master Mindbender from issue 22.

Well, presumably a Resolute-Mindbender would look like how he's drawn in that series. That, and we already know there's a Zap in the Resolute line--although nobody yet knows if it's a new design or a proper homage to his Greenshirt figure. I pray for the latter.

I remember a lot of people whining about Zartan having a shirt on. Yeah, I know, it's stupid. It's also why we're now getting a Zartan that looks more like his original figure.

Serpentor's just horrible. It's that candy-corn brown colour that he is.

Or they could base him off the VvV Mindbender, labcoat and all.

Woa-h, I've been gone a little while. Stupid computer problems...

Anyway, I got Yostuba powered by Revoltech from Yotsuba&! She's pretty awesome.

Now to wait for Enki...

That's the version I've got, he's pretty cool. I've got him hanging with my 25A guys, but of course, his proportions don't match.

But yeah, a 25A Mindbender would hopefully be based on the more iconic, shirtless model. So he would be more hilarious, and therefore better.

Yay, stuff! And things! But mainly stuff.

- New shirt and pants for work
- Nifty pair of black jeans
- A Half-Life 2 shirt
- A narcissistic necklace that says "me"
- Fear Factory: Digimortal
- Ticket to see Parkway Drive play next month
- A piratey bandana
- Some tacky pirate accessories (Can you tell Talk Like A Pirate Day is coming up?)
- 48 new hairties that say Princess Accessory on the package
- A neat new ring
- A teeny tiny CD rack for a buck

Thassabout it just now.

All Star Superman 12

As for Mindbender, I want a 25A style Mindbender. I could deal with the lab-coat model, and would prefer the meditation master Mindbender. But, hey, shirtless perv Mindbender works too. I just do not want a "Sigma 6" of movie style revision before I get one for my 25A collection.

Dom

Hidamari Sketch Vol. 1- Been looking into this one, seals of approval from three other people I trust made me decide to go ahead and get it. Not bad so far, it's damn cute. And it's not trying *too* hard to be AzuManga Daioh.
