I got Big Daddy and Fracture today myself. Might go back and pick up Grindcore. My local Wal-Mart had a display out in the center aisle and the figures were on sale for $7.77, which is why I snagged two figures instead of just one.

I get to haul my 27" Samsung tv out to the garbage, as it died on me. :(

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

Negima Vol. 19- Very nice cover on this one, nice to see that Akamatsu can draw a cover that doesn't have 20+ characters crowding all over it. OTOH, this volume has the dreaded "Keyword is 'Father'" chapter, which horribly assassinates Yuna's character just after she became awesome during the Mahorafest arc! Why, Akamatsu?! WHYYYY?!

Thanks to Dom, I'm one figure closer to completing my Alternators collection. Got Mirage in the mail today. It's the only mold I didn't have at least one of.

GI Joe 25th Anniversay Cobra Commander vs. Tripwire- I'm pretty much done with Joes now, but this was one last indulgence, since the Commander it comes with is Forking Oresome. Tripwire's mildly amusing, it's tricky getting cool poses out of a guy whose only real accessory is a mine detector, but at least he comes with some mines too. But Commander is terrific as all get out. I love the Crimson Guard mold, and they've done a great job with it. The accessories are all sweet, and he can actually hold them reasonable well. For me, it's a great send-off to a great line.

Transformers Animated Blitzwing- Screw Fresno, the Wal-Mart in MADERA had this guy! Sweet. The jet mode isn't as bad as some have made it out to be, it holds together okay for me. The tank mode is great, it's got that adorable Metal Slug look going on. It sucks that the treads don't lock into place in either mode. Bot mode is pretty cool, though the wings get in the way a bit, and I reeeaaaally wish he could close his fists somehow. The head-switching gimmick doesn't work right for me either. Anyone else find it odd that he's got a Movie Decepticon symbol?

Transformers: Megatron Origin TPB- Just saw it, decided I might as well.

Another TFU Acid Storm for customizing. (If anybody wants it, let me know. I will trade it if they want it.)

GI Joe 2 pack: Nemesis Immortal v/s Falcon

As for "Megatron: Origins", it is not bad in terms of writing. But art-wise, it leaves much to be desired.

I disagree. Megatron Origin kills off Clench and for that it royally blows. And the story kind of jumps around in places for no good reason.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

And today I wandered out and got the Cobra Commander/Tripwire set.

Stupid G.I. Joe two-packs...they rule when it's two Cobra characters, but damn, I don't want to have to get a Joe. So, I haven't gotten Copperhead or Wild Weasel, but how could I resist this Cobra Commander? Let's examine the facts here, shall we?

1. The only Cobra Commander I've currently got is the black-suited one from the "Cobra Legions" set.

2. I wanted a hooded Cobra Commander to go with my faceplate CC. So may as well get one with a cape.

3. This one has the rad sword and better looking gun. And also, is Cobra Commander.

So, he looks great. As for Tripwire...damn, I have a Joe character now. The hell am I gonna do with him?
