War For Cybertron toys

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

War For Cybertron toys

Post by Onslaught Six »

Pics are starting to hit. We've got the TFCC magazine cover and then some horribly mistransformed pics of Prime and Megs. Prime looks great, gonna pass on Bumblebee, and I want some decent pics of Megs before I make a decision.

Regardless, I'm excited. The only thing I'm not happy about is that I don't own a 360 for which to play the game on. But Prime looks cool and Megs looks alright if he's got a Fusion Cannon and he's transformed right.

I put the topic here because it seemed best for now. Truthfully it should get its own forum, probably after Toyfair.

I admit, "War for Cybertron" has me excited as well. This is the "not since AEC" moment I wait for during lulls.

I would have preferred something closer to "War Within". But, this line looks like it will be great fun.

Get a 360, then we can co-op the game together. You know this would be worlds of awesome.

The toys look, honestly, rather unexciting. I'll wait for better pics.

You know I've been wanting a 360 for about a year now at least. It's just never feasible because I'm a fucking idiot. But I should hopefully have one before the game comes out. (Just in time for new consoles to launch in 2011...)

Prime looks pretty cool, if only for being a cool Prime design. Bumblebee sucks but that's because 'Bumblebee sucks.' I'm really starting to legit get sick of the little bugger.

I agree. Even before the crappy IDW comic, Bumblebee was wearing thin. I made a point of leaving Bumblebee out of my new movie display.

Question. These figs are in the Generations line, should we keep a section for the game and its small handful of toys?

I agree that BB is wearing thin, btw. I was shocked to see that they have 2 more 2010 Camaro BB toys in the regular line coming out. Plus the upcoming Voyager Animated figure, and this WFC one. They've overplayed the guy.

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

It was nice to see Bumblebee make a return after years of being forgotten, but yeah I agree it's being overdone now.

I am thinking we should put "War for Cybertron" in the "misc" forum.

Dom
-is it even getting its own line beyond "Generations"?

I think the only character I like as much as Shockwave is Bumblebee. I never get sick of him. In fact, I actually drive a yellow VW Beetle (with an appropriately placed Autobot logo). I like the WFC design and will get one when I find it. I like all of the WFC designs I've seen so far. I'll definately be getting it when it comes out. Speaking of, anyone know a release date yet?

Sources conflict. Some guys say early June, some say late May. Either way, my birthday is right around then, so I'm good.
