Age of Extinction movie Trailer

Money, violence, sex, computer graphics, scatalogical humor, racism, robots designed to be rednecks but given European accents, and maybe another sequel to the saga... what's not to love? TF m1, Revenge of the Fallen, Dark of the Moon and now Age of Extinction.

Age of Extinction movie Trailer

Post by Sparky Prime »

If you missed the trailer that aired during the Super Bowl yesterday, here it is on youtube.

Plenty of first looks at new robots, including at least two of the Dinobots. Looks very cool so far, can't wait to see more.

I'm sure I'll wind up seeing it in a theater just cuz. Robots. But the trailer didn't register any emotion with me, good or bad. It was just there.

Wow, more monochromatic bots. Seriously, does Michael Bay hate color or what's up with that? I mean, we finally get Dinobots and they're all grey as hell. Great, now there's even more ways not to tell what the hell's going on on screen.

I get the feeling this movie's going to have a lot of beast-bots, more than just the dinobots. There was that big, winged, 2 headed dragon (doublecross?) in one scene- I bet that humans tinkering with cybertronian tech somehow gives us techno-organic bots and the dinobots are just the ones that ally with the autobots.

I don't see the problem with the TF4 dinobots being mostly grey,as this is what the 1980's Dinobots colors were.

I guessed that flying bird/bot in that TF4 trailer was Dinobot swoop. If it has to be someone else,Than I prefer it be a team member combiner. Like Divebomb or one of the 1986 Terrorcons. I just want to see combiners toys for the TF4 toy line. I'd like to see the Dinobots form a combiner called Dinoking.

Earlier reported fans rumors/speculation was that the TF4 movie was going to have the Aerialbots & the Stunticons that can merge to form Superion & Menasor. I'd be happy with this. As long as the individual toys are decent deluxes & voyager size & have individual robot modes.

Can't say I see any problems the Dinobots being more or less monochromatic. The ones we see in the trailer I'd say certainly have no problems standing out at any rate.

It's supposed to be a two headed Pteranodon. Not sure why it has two heads, but it is a Dinobot at any rate. I've seen a report he might be called Pteradon in the film.

That is a terrible name. I've been having a problem with the whole monochromatic movie look since way back in the first one. There's so many of them that just have no color. Jazz, Megatron, Starscream, Blackout, scorponok, Frenzy, Bonecrusher... and that's just in the first movie! And in a movie where there's not that many bots to begin with, I have to wonder if maybe they just ran out of time to color them or ran out of budget or what have you.

No color? I think you mean one color. Most real world vehicles are primarily only one color... It makes sense the Transformers would reflect that as a result given they need to transform into those vehicles. And some of those characters do have a few more colors than you're giving them credit for. Scorponok for example had quite a bit of green, gold and silver on him.

No I meant no color although I guess "gray" is technically a color. Yeah most cars are primarily one color, but most at least HAVE color whether it's red, blue, yellow (like my car) or what have you. Yeah there are also some grey ones out there too but it just seems like most of the characters were lacking anything other than "metallic". Yeah, Scorponok may have had some color decals on him but mostly it was just a big metal scorpion. that was metal colored. Because the metal wasn't colored. And now we have more metal colored beast bots with no more color on the metal other than whatever color the metal is. It's just blah.
