Good news O6.

He is definitely in the top half of the board, but I would hesitate to say he is making the most.

Dom
-trying to get back to that point.

86 easily makes a boatload more, although the cost of living differences and exchange rate make it hard to compare.

I dunno, I always assumed I was somewhere in the middle; but then we don't have any rabidly poor people (or children) here, do we?

I'm poor, but it's my own fault for being self-employed. I manage to live.

I had a set back a couple of years ago. I was doing well enough before that though.

Dom
-gonna turn it around in the next year.

I won't say by how much, only that I do make more. Of course, I'm given to understand that the cost of living in CA is higher than in other parts of the country (not to mention THE WORLD), so maybe it all evens out.

Anyway, another Bakemonogatari Figma showed up today, this time being the stapler-wielding, crab-god haunted, weightless, tsundere-but-maybe-not-really-a-tsundere-they-just-use-the-word-as-a-joke main character, Hitagi Senjougahara! There's the expected boatload of accessories, including a complete extra head so you can choose between her two different hairstyles, and more extra hands than the little Figma hand-tree can actually hold (however, given that the 'big mess of weaponized school supplies' hands are pointedly cumbersome, it's not too big a deal that they get to sit alone), and a little extension for her stand that lets it slip under her longer hair to peg into her back properly, once again showing how Max Factory's toys seems almost suspiciously well thought-out. I was surprised, though maybe I shouldn't have been, that she shares no parts with Kanbaru, despite the similar uniform. This must just not be how Figmas do it. Her paint's a little less than exact in a couple places, and her faces are neither as numerous nor as entertaining as Kanbaru's, but there's still plenty that makes the toy cool, though it's mainly the school supplies/battle gear that do it for me. Can't wait for Araragi to show up so she has someone to properly threaten with all this stuff.

I'm doing pretty okay, myself. Kansas has a low cost of living, and while I'm in no imminent danger of getting rich at my job, I'm not starving. Hell, if I can be driving around a brand-new car, I'm not doing bad at all. One thing I will say...a few years back...'07, I think? I was having a real hard time financially then, but I went over it, and I've pretty much doubled what I was making back then. And as an added bonus, I'm wwwwwaaaaaayyyyy more satisfied with my current job than I used to be.

And...today's haul:

-some Gundam markers. (Been meaning to experiment with these for a while actually.)
-"The Outcast Dead" (the latest "Horus Heresy" novel)
-another Slurpee Cup for customizing.
-a truly disturbing message from Scrouge....

Dom
-might paint later today actually....

I found a Guzzle! He is currently somewhere in my girlfriend's car. There was also a bitchin' Venom shirt for five bucks that I am constantly regretting I passed on.

Customizing, (having nothing to do with the paint I got yesterday), and patience yielded Arfire's Minicon as depicted in that recent Manga. (Recoloured from a PCC Pinpointer.)

Dom
-gonna wrap up eHobby stuff in the near future.

So awhile back I sold off my Classics Prime because I needed some cash money. But since I'm doing better these days, I was able to find another one for the same price I sold the last one. Damn, this mold is so nice.

Oh yeah. And last Friday I put serious thought into getting Drag Strip, but I picked up Kre-O Jazz because they were the same price. Not as cool as Mirage, I don't think, but it's still a neat little building set. Interesting choices they made with Jazz's color scheme, it's silver like Movie Jazz, but has the stripes and numbers of regular Jazz. It looks kind of decent, really.
