Generations Thundercracker

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

Well regarding the color, I've gotta disagree. I have all three versions of Thundy and the Botcon color isn't anything special. The blue is... well it's just blue. The Generations one has a kind of metallic quality to it and the color itself seems to stand out more. One thing I will also say about Generations Thundercracker is that the silver paint on him is far shinier than any previous seeker and it really makes a big difference aesthetically. Plus, and this is just a peeve of mine, logos. BC TC has no logos. The Henkei one has them but, in my opinion, facing the wrong way. And they're such a light shade of purple that they almost blend in with the color of the figure. Generations TC has bright logos facing the right way and with a nice silver outline that makes them stand out beautifully. So, I would have to say that the Generations one is actually worth the wait as it's the version I would have wanted anyway. This did not keep me from being retarded enough to shell out huge bucks for the other two (after the Generations announcement no less, in fact the BC set arrived the day after Generations did).

Maybe I am mis-remembering the BotCon toy. But, I also remember the G1 figure having a more metallic quality to it.

Either way, good luck finding any Thundercracekr figures if you ain't got one now. I would be wiling to bet that the BotCon and Henkei figures might even recover some of their value after Thundergate II.

-cannot imagine buying the Henkei figure *after* knowing that "Generations" TC was coming up.

I was impatient and wanted to have all the seekers. In fact, the only seekers I'm missing for every pressing of the mold are Universe Starscream and Classics Ramjet.
