I'm not a hundred percent sure why, but I giggled a lil' at the "That's cuz you a pussy"/Brofist combo. Stupid twins, why do I like you? I think the fact that they're clearly retarded helped. It's like, "Well, it's Herp and Derp, whaddaya expect?"
So what I'm trying to figure out here is "What exactly did Demolishor do?" Far as I could tell, he and Sideways were just kinda chillin' out down in Shanghai being a car and an excavator thing when the Autobots and NEST (dude, Shane, given this movie's humor, that name could have been so much worse) showed up and were like "Not right now, you don't!" with all guns blazing. Sure, Demolishor's escape run killed a bunch of people, but wouldn't you run? If I was just hanging out and Optimus came after me, especially ROTF face-ripping Optimus, I'd be outta there like a shot.
Yes, yes, they're Decepticons, so odds are good that they were up to something, but some indicator of what that something was would have been nice before we get to the "Any last words?" Just sayin', is all.
EDIT: Admittedly, Prime could shoot Demolishor all day for all the good it'd do, since he'd just show right back up, but still...

It's the movie's sense of "humor" that's really turned me off. I'm apparently very much in the minority, but crude, vulgar humor doesn't appeal to me at all. It's possible to have suggestion and innuendo and derive some humor from it, as Shrek did, just to pick one example. The humor in Transformers was just hamfisted and lacked any sense of subtlety, and that was very much to the movie's detriment.
This is a movie based off a toyline, not a summer sex comedy. Much of the humor in the movie would seem to be more at place in the latter type of movie. Sadly, as successful as the ROTF has been, I expect to see more of the same in the eventual part three. It's a pity.

I like rude humour, but not in my movies, ya know? Prank phone calls and rude text messages are one thing, but writing a story around them is quite another. (They designed Devastator to have balls for chrissakes, all for a cheap line.)
And, yeah, Optimus was playing with his food re: Demolishor.

I'm not a fan of rude humor either. Although, I did think the Devastator wrecking balls was pretty funny. I just assume he had used them to climb up the pyramid like we saw with the cables he launched and didn't bother to reel them back, not that he was actually designed with wrecking balls there. I didn't think Simmon's line "I'm under the enemy scrotum" was necessary though.

Once they were back at base, Optimus explained the Decepticons had been spotted in several different countries across the globe, and from all indications were looking for something. Demolishor and Sideways were just trying to blend in so they wouldn't get caught when NEST showed up. And obviously it wouldn't have been a good idea to just let the Decepticons go about their business given the plan was to blow up the sun...

Oh, well, looking for something, can't have 'em up to that. Yeah, clearly needed to be put down.
I probably should be the last one to be criticizing the movie's humor, given the nature of the kinda gags I work into some comics, but, y'know, I'm just some jerk making stupid strips, not making full friggin' movies. I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with the fact that movie Ironhide could have dropped the line in my sig-strip in this movie and it wouldn't have seemed out of place.

Would you rather the Autobots just let the Decepticons find what they wanted and blow up the sun, ending all life on Earth?

Speaking of, I felt Megatron was very underpowered this time around. I suppose he'd been rusting at the bottom of the ocean for two years, but he got very few blows in with any opponent throughout the course of the movie. It seemed like he was simply too slow to counter bullet-time-Prime effectively, and I don't like that in my Megatron.

They had no idea that was what the Decepticons were after until Jetfire told them so, what happened to freedom being the right of all sentient beings? The Autobots didn't offer the Decepticons any chance to negotiate or leave the planet, they simply attacked them as soon as they were detected. It wasn't "The Decepticons are attacking the city!", it was "There are Decepticons over there, we'd better kill them."
Then again, I suppose I'm looking at this as we'd normally think of the two factions - equal. Movie Decepticons are largely throwaway non-characters. I hear Michael Bay says moral ambiguity is for suckers. *cue the patriotic score swelling*

Thank you to o86 for putting it better than I would've.
For instance, I would have just said "Hey, we'd have gotten out of that interminably long final battle sequence, so that'd have been something...
Of course, then we'd have lost "Give Me Your Face", so, y'know, there'd have been a downside.

Part of the Autobots belief in freedom being the right of all sentient beings is to protect those who cannot defend themselves/freedoms from a superior foe. Besides, it wasn't the NEST team that attacked them right away. The NEST team surrounded Demolisher and Sideways, but it was Demolisher that took the first shot. If they had simply been looking for asylum, then shooting at the people you want to negotiate with is no way to go about it.
Plus, as Optimus explained, the Decepticons should have lost interest with Earth once the Allspark was destroyed and Megatron died. Clearly the Decepticons don't like the "weak humans" and hate the Autobots, so why would they want to live on the same planet with them both? While it was possible they were just after revenge like that one government guy thought, it was pretty clear to Optimus the Decepticons were looking for something and when the time came, they needed to be there to defend the Earth. The Autobots know the Decepticons pretty well, having been fighting with them for so long. They aren't just going to sit by and let the Decepticons do what ever they want. Whether or not they know what the Decepticons are up to is irrelevant.

What I think is interesting here is that Sparky and I are on the same side, despite arguring about this very point a few months back, on opposite sides. (I was saying, "meh, genocide", and Sparky argued against that.)
Objectively, it makes perfect sense for human NEST members to be killing members of an invasive species. And, the political gain for the Autobots makes killing the Decepticons a no-brainer.
My problem with it was that Optimus was definitely playing with his food. There is a difference between being ruthless and being....almost giddy. Prime was....almost German in some scenes.
