Damn, I gotta figure out this oyster-cracker/moneys thing. Make life a lot easier...
Anyhoo...thanks to a sale at Target, I snapped and got the G.I. Joe 25th Copperhead/Shipwreck set. Damn it, now I have two Joes. At least Shipwreck is probably my favorite member of the Joe team, so that's okay. And Copperhead is awesome.
I went and saw "Choke", too. Does that count?

No, it isn't, 'precisely' because of how terrible its portrayls of the BWII and Neo characters are. It rapes their personalities! 'Rapes!' If I'm using a verb with such horrible connotations, it must be bad!

Picked up Universe Prowl, and Octankor this morning.
I like Prowl, but his shoulder launchers need a bit of paint. Tankor, I'm not as impressed with.

Picked up Universe Acid Storm. Looks like the Wal-Mart $7.77 sale on deluxes is about over. The display had a price of $10.96, though the price scanner still gave the $7.77 price.
I'm still hoping to find Galvatron before the sale ends.
All the price points have gone up. I already skip leader class figures, and I've added Legends to the list as well, simply because for the size and simplicity, they aren't worth the nearly $5.00 price. My collecting days may be nearing an end if prices keep going up like this. Particularly if the mainstay of my collecting, the deluxe/$10 price point is going up. That or I'll simply have to be far more particular. No more impulse buys.
I'd hate to stop right before the 25th Anniversary line. I may stick it out through that and then call it quits. Goodness knows I've got enough of these things already.

Crappy thing there is the fact that my Target will probably put Animted wave 4 out this week at, and Wal-Mart won't put them out until after the sale is over which sucks because my Wal-Marts always seem to be a week or two behind Target.

Went to a con yesterday. I skipped the toys sections, parly for lack of selection, and partly for lack of interest. (The dealer I would normally go to for that sort of thing had....nothing. For the last few months, he has had the stuff. I am thinking he is giving up on the game, and has not realized it yet.)
There were any, many, many, many cheap comics to be had:
-Death of the New Gods (hardcover) $10
-Captain Marvel: The Return (hardcover) $10
-Batman: Gothic
-Justice League: The Nail
-Doom 2099 issue 1 thru 8
-random issues of "Legends of the Dark Knight"
I already have the separeate issues of the hardcovers, but the price was unbeatable, and both stories are worth owning in compiled form.
Dom
-will probably review some of this haul later, but not all of it.

I'll take your word for it, lol. Yesterday a friend and I were making fun of some of the characters while looking through the book. Some of them are REALLY silly. Like I'm gunna take a penguin TF seriously?
I like the book enough to find it fun, even if it's just for the original BW characters.

How 'bout the bunny?
Man. I love the BW Neo cast. They're so rad.

Geez, the bunny... =| Oh yeah. I am SO gunna fear some guy named Stampy. Or the other one, Moon? I mean, c'mon.

Although that does create possibility for hilarity...
"Oh, look at that cute bunny there! Aren't you cute? Yes you are, you cute little thing!"
".... Keep talking like that and I'll kick the scrap out of you."

I like how they only fixed some of the mistakes in the sourcebook. Imagine, buying 2 copies of that thing, only to still have easily fixed problems floating about.
Say what one will about Dreamwave, but they managed to publish sourcebooks with no real problems.
Dom
-skipped the compiled BW sourcebook.
