Considering how little I expected to like him, Scorponok really impressed me. Granted, I'd prefer it if his Scorpion legs could somehow fold down into claws on his robot feet (it would fix so much)

Easily Leader-class Prime, it's not only one of my favorites from this line, but from ANY line. This is one of the few Transformers that really feels like it's transforming rather than just moving a few sections around, lots of detail and articulation, there's a ton of great stuff happening on this figure.
I can think of quite a few figures that surprised me - most of the Real Gear guys, Scorponok, Ironhide, Blackout, Barricade, Leader-class Brawl, Wreckage, Dropkick, Longarm, Landmine, and Voyager Prime - but Leader Prime has 'em all beat to hell.
I could also list off some hateables with Swindle and Dreadwing right at the fuckin' top, but I won't go there in this thread.

I do not hate Incinerator by any means. But, I cannot see why everyone went crazy over it. I opened mine, fiddled with it a bit. But, (and I got the whole wave at once), ASP Ironhide is the one that I still have kept in easy fiddlin' range.
I like the Optimus mold, and have the Premium on display. But, for fiddle value, I tend to prefer smaller toys.

I agree with you on Incinerator, not seeing why it's so highly thought of, it's nifty but not WOW HOLY SHIT WOW nifty.
And now you know why Deluxe is the most popular pricepoint with collectors (basic is the most popular with kids).

Depending on the mold, I can handle Voyagers as well. For example, I really like movie Inferno. (Yes, it is repainted from a Unicron Trilogy toy, but it is in movie packaging, so hey.)
