What was the Best Movie Toy?

Money, violence, sex, computer graphics, scatalogical humor, racism, robots designed to be rednecks but given European accents, and maybe another sequel to the saga... what's not to love? TF m1, Revenge of the Fallen, Dark of the Moon and now Age of Extinction.

What was the Best Movie Toy?

Surprisingly I really liked Landmine. I hated him when I first got him but he's grown on me as one of the best from the line. Incinerator is probably my second favorite.

Well, lessee here.

I really dug the Voyager-sized Optimus Prime...the "First Strike" variety, anyhow. Nifty enough kinda cheaty way to make the movie transformation work in the Voyager size.

I loved Swindle a lot. Crazy-lookin' robot with a very alien aesthetic that turns into a realistic car? That's kinda neat. Plus, I liked the way he transformed.

Also...most of the Real Gears. Loved those lil' sonsaguns. Especially Longview and Meantime.

I don't know if I can say which one is best, but my favorites would have to be Stealth Bumblebee and Incinerator.

Ay, the Concept Camaro mold is indeed quite good. I also really liked the Leader Brawl and Prime.

Leader Prime is probably the best of the bunch. He's very...solid, if somewhat unexciting. He doesn't really have any of the horrible problems that most of the other Movie toys have weighing him down. Megs is 'plagued' with issues, and most of the Decepticons don't fare any better. Barricade really needs head articulation.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

Lessee here. I've hucked most of my movie stuff into storage due to space concerns, but I've kept out the cream of the crop. Here's a few favourites:

- Starscream. I like him a surprising amount. Just for being Big, having a clever transformation, and turning into a brutal robot with spinning chaingun missile launcher hands. Guess that's why I own four versions of the mould, heh.

- Wreckage. Iffy colours, but darned if that's not one of the movie's best offerings. Details, transformation, character, spiffy flippy swords that combine into the spinny maulsaber of doom, can't really go too far wrong.

- Japanese OldBee. Screw Hasbro's painted windows, the Takara release is lovely. Articulation, keen display options with the launchers, a fun transformation, and turning into an old car all get him points from me.

- Stockade. Unassuming vehicle transforms into ape-like Decepticon with an innovative gimmick. One of the gems from the end of the line.

- Super Prime. Really shows what can be done with the Super price point. Suitably big and chunky, a satisfying transformation and decent articulation. Great detailing, couple neat gimmicks, really is the line's flagship toy, and deserves that spot too. Shame about the Premium.

Honourary mentions to Camshaft, Bonecrusher, Dreadwing, and Final Battle Jazz. The Real Gear, though, they're in a class of their own. Oh, Meantime, your awesome is all but unsurpassed.

I need to think on this. There are a good many I like.

I suppose I will say Voyager Ratchet, as that toy is seriously under-rated. But, I also like Landmine, Longarm and Salvage.

Dom
-can think of no toys I really dislike from this line.

I'd have to say Incinerator is my favorite from this line. Longarm, Swindle, and Starscream follow close behind.

I got the "robot vision" variety myself. I'd agree the transformation is a cheaty way to make it work, but it is a pretty cool figure all the same.

I also really like the Concept Camaro Bumblebee figure(s).

Salvage reminds me.... I picked up the movie upgrade stickers form reprolables.com & have upgraded Salvage into Movie Rodimus! Turned out very nice.
