Re: No Blurr Alt, who else was left out?
I'm not sure how they'd have approached Brawn since we already had three Jeeps. Maybe if they'd ever actually made a Hummer? Huffer needs to stay a tractor trailer, and the Dodge Ram should have been Trailbreaker instead of Optimus Prime, in my view.
More Stunticons would have been awesome. Hopefully Classics/Universe will give us a few more.

I agree, they should have just listed MP Prime as the "Alternators/Binaltech" one and left the ram for someone we didn't get (like Trailbreaker). Some version of Ratchet and Ironhide would have been cool. Is Alternity the same size as Alternators/Binaltech? Was that meant as a continuation of those or is it completely different?

I think Alternity is a smaller scale, not too much larger than a deluxe instead of the 1:24 Alternators scale.
Does anyone know if the human alliance figures are 1:24? I might be tempted to pick up one or two if that's the case.

I don't know, but from what I've seen, they look a lil' bit bigger.
Might be wrong, though. And even if they were, I'd still pass because Alts or no, I still would have a hard time telling what I was looking at. Unless it was a "Human Alliance" Ironhide, in which case I'd just swap out my sig with the same scene as a photocomic.
I'd have loved to see if they could've kept the crazy going in the Alt line. Since they did Ravage, who wouldn't have wanted an Alt. Laserbeak?

HA figs seem to be about the same size as Alts. I think I'm going to breakdown and get Bumblebee and I'll compare it to Alts Grimlock and let y'all know.138 Scourge wrote:I don't know, but from what I've seen, they look a lil' bit bigger.

Dude, your sig is great and if you think that's funny you should check out the webcomic site in my sig. Optimus Prime fails a Smog test, so the crew of the Enterprise takes custody of the Matrix. Cobra steals it from them, so Optimus Prime and Bumblebee hire Indiana Jones to work with GI Joe to get it back. And the Halo guys show up for about two seconds. Oh and Megatron has a ten day waiting period to transform to gun mode.
Laserbeak certainly would have been interesting.

They're roooughly the same size as the Alts. I think DVD or someone pegged them as 1:22. (Or was it 1:26?)
Re: No Blurr Alt, who else was left out?
At one point BBTS was actually listing it as Alternators Movie Bumblebee. I think they've since changed the listing though.

I think the backlash over Battle Ravage put pay to a similar idea with Laserbeak. Though I admit, if they could have figured out a way to make a car transform into something like Laserbeak's condor mode, I'd have been all for that. That would be something different.Shockwave wrote:Laserbeak certainly would have been interesting.

Hey, I a flying car isn't totally unheard of, look at G1 Tracks. I think the HA figures are slightly larger than Alts, but not by much. I picked up Bumblebee and sideswipe this weekend and will try cramming their humans into either Grimlock or Smokescreen (the two remaining Alts that I have).

Alternators are 1:24 scale.
Alternity are 1:32 scale, much smaller, like a Deluxe TF vehicle. It makes their $50 pricetag all the more difficult to swallow, which is why I didn't buy either of them at Botcon or Comic-Con this year despite telling myself I would (I love both cars).

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?
