It makes no sense whatsoever. Exposition Prime explains what Energon is, and the designs are bizarre hybrids of movie and G1. Also, Bumblebee sounds like Blurr.

I kind of like the character models actually. Not much else to like though. The story is comparable to most pack-in comics, neither terrible nor great, fish nor foul.

They forced us to watch both at Botcon's film festival, but it was addressed in a Hasbro panel as not something they'd come back to unless it was GREATLY improved.
