there are gems like Starscream (Cybertron), or Optimus, or "Universe" Brawn.
Which Optimus? Until the Animated Legend, Optimii got a pretty short end of the stick with Legends.
I *really* like "Beast Machines" Jetstorm as a character. But, I do not like the Ultra-scale mold for the toy. Never have.
Aww, and you wanted to keep Cyclonus, too.. Rest assured, he's one of my favourite TFs, and remains on full display holding a mini Allspark cube. ;)

Leo Prime is ass.

Don't forget, the Ruination components were also at that price. Those are what brought me into the line.
That'd be shenanigans! The Car Brothers are their own thing, and their designs (we're talking about the regulars, not the supers, right?) are based on those realistic vehicles, which wouldn't really play with the molds you mentioned. Plus, Rodimus as Speedbreaker doesn't even make sense, they're way different-looking in both modes.
Well, Mach Alert's vehicle mode is 'right there,' the same with X-Brawn. Speedbreaker's the only stretch, and I wasn't too happy with it until I remembered you can take off Rodimus's spoiler entirely. That helps give him the sleek altmode again, plus he's got the exposed engine that Speedbreaker had. Plus, it'd also retroactively give us Police Sunstreaker/Sideswipe, depending on how they do it. And they'd be RID homages! RID homages rule.

Yeah, I was pushing for Hot Rod into Speedbreaker because their overall shapes match well, with the headsculpts, engine chests, exhaust-guns, and thigh armour. Hot Rod's a bit stockier than Speedbreaker thanks to his..not being a spindly shellformer, but I think it fits better than the other options of Mirage, Bumblebee, or Prowl into Speedbreaker. Plus, it'd be a great reverse nod, since Super Speedbreaker was in Rodimus colours.

Must PSP those up, I'd really love those three..

The only thing getting me is that I can't think of a decent colour arrangement for Mach Alert. That and whether he should be Sideswipe or Sunstreaker-styled. Sideswipe gives a good view of the arch on his hood, while the other one will somehow seem less like it's an obvious repaint. I guess.

X-Brawn and Speedbreaker are otherwise pretty straightforward. X-Brawn becomes silver and green, Speedbreaker is blue and white.

I was thinking Sideswipe stylee for Mach Alert. Bear in mind that he'd have the lightbar like Red Alert, and not the enginefing. And in Sideswipe configuration, well, Police Sideswipe and all.

If we were going to get police style recolors of Sideswipe/Sunstreaker, I would rather have a Sunstreaker style configuation, as I have plenty of Sideswipes and the upcoming Red Alert will only add to that.

I still hated the robot mode. In the case of Jetstorm, the vehicle was too big to evoke the character. This was less a problem with Cyclonus.

Well, obviously you can turn the thing either way with a little fist-swap. Hmm.

The head mold also matters.

I'd be all for it, actually-- for some reason, I've always wanted a Hot Rod-- ANY Hot Rod-- recolored in blue. Must be my weird innate desire for color symmetry.
I disappear.
