Age of the Primes
Hasbro has revealed the next line, the Age of the Primes (and also a Sonic/Tails crossovers figures, a Mixmaster line, and have an introduction video for the Thirteen).
The first figures are:
The Thirteen Star Optimus Prime
The Thirteen Megatronus the Fallen
G2 Grimlock
Aerialbot Silverbolt
The Thirteen Prima Prime
(Armada) Red Alert
The Thirteen Solus Prime
Aerialbot Air Raid
(Animated) Fugitive Waspinator
Aerialbot Slingshot
So, they are continuing the trend of the past few years different universes mashing up. After the Power of the Primes line seemingly teased the Thirteen, only to make them Power Master type figures, I didn't think Hasbro would make actual figures of them. Well, I guess that remains to be seen, because a few of them I think would be hard to translate to toys...
Seems like they've chosen some different aesthetics for the Primes. Prima they've apparently based the head on a design of one of the first Matrix bearers Rodimus encountered in "Five Faces of Darkness". Not a fan of it personally. Not sure what the body is inspired by. Megatronus/The Fallen is based on the Dreamwave design. Solus appears to be based on the Machinima design, but with vehicle kibble.
The video shows Liege Maximo based on the original Marvel Comics design. Micronus looks to be based on the RiD2015 design. Vector Prime looks like the recent Legacy figure. Quintus and Onyx look to be the based on the Covenant of Primus designs, although Onyx in the statues seems to have two legs, while the more detailed art shows him with the centaur design. Be cool if they gave him a bipedal mode and a quadapedal mode. Sseems odd that the product description for G2 Grimlock says he's a descendant of Alpha Trion, when the lore is Transformers with beast modes are supposed to be descendent from Onyx. Alpha Trion, Alchemist Prime, Nexus Prime and Amalgamous Prime appear to be somewhat new variations. Given the multiversal mashup of characters, I wonder if the variations of the Thirteen designs is meant to reflect that.
Disappointed that once again they've made Optimus Prime a member of the Thirteen. But at least they depict him in his Powermaster/Star forms so that it isn't just the standard Optimus Prime.

They're getting me for blue Grimlock. That might be the first TF I bought for myself (him or green Beachcomber. I can't remember which). They're getting me for SURE.

Re: Age of the Primes
We got a first look at Thirteen Onyx Prime thanks to Toy Fair 2025. Also shown are Studio Series Elite Seeker & Ground Soldier 2-pack, Wreck N’ Doom Collection Carnivac & Fisitron 2-pack, Wreck N’ Doom Collection Spinister & Topspin 2-pack, (reissue) Titan Trypticon, Cybertron Sideways, Cybertron Excellion, Studio Series Perceptor with Ramhorn & Ratbat 3-pack, Hearts Of Steel Optimus Prime, Starscream, Megatron and Bumblebee and a new Cyberworld toyline.
Honestly, pretty disappointed in Onyx for a Leader class figure. The robot mode is alright. Kinda cool that he had a bipedal and centaur mode since the IDW artists were confused by the Covenant of Primus art. The beast mode... is terrible. He apparently transforms in only 12-19 steps, and it shows.
We also have an official first look at Thirteen Alchemist Prime, Decepticon Crasher (Mirage repaint), Decepticon Vortex and Void Rival set including (reissue) Leader Jetfire, with two humanoid characters Zertonian Solila, and Agorrian Darak.
Alchemist Prime looks pretty cool. Seems to have drawn inspiration from the Cyberverse version of the character, albeit now with a mustache. Vehicle mode looks too much like an Earth vehicle for my taste.

I love that Hot Wheels collab hot rod. I can't say no to a goofy looking hot rod (the car design, not the character). That being said; since this is the "Age of the Primes" where the eff is my Mammoth Convoy? Magmatron has no one to foil!

Re: Age of the Primes
I haven't really cared for a lot of the crossover figures, but I do really like the designs of the two Hot Wheels figures. I wouldn't mind seeing a few more of those. A new Big Convoy would be amazing. I'd love to see a new take on BWII Galvatron too, give Leo Convoy his foil as well.Ursus mellifera wrote: ↑Mon Mar 03, 2025 7:50 am I love that Hot Wheels collab hot rod. Re: Age of the Primes
I've skipped all the previous collabs, but the Hot Wheels ones do grab me. I guess it makes sense that a company that makes cool cars collabing with a company that makes cool robots would create something really cool looking.
I'd love a new, big BWII Galvatron. I think I've given up on getting one since Leo Convoy came out so long ago. Then again, it took them 4 years to make all 5 of the SS86 Dinobots, so there's still probably some hope.

Re: Age of the Primes
I wouldn't count BWII Galvatron out yet. We live in a time where we got Lio Convoy in no less than three different flavors, we also got figures of Emirate Xaaron and Flame! Freakin' FLAME!! That's gotta be the most deep cut figure to produce, and I don't think they're done giving us Beast Era characters yet, so yeah, BWII Galvatron wouldn't actually surprise me at this point. Especially since the current Haslab is for Liokaiser.Ursus mellifera wrote: ↑Tue Mar 04, 2025 6:46 am I've skipped all the previous collabs, but the Hot Wheels ones do grab me. Lo and behold... a product listing has been found for a new Leader-class Big Convoy for 2026 release.

Re: Age of the Primes
TFW2005 has posted first official looks for several upcoming figures...
-Voyager Alpha Trion
-Deluxe Micronus Prime
-Leader Onyx Prime
-Deluxe Fireflight
-Deluxe Skydive
-Voyager Flatline
-Deluxe Venom
-Voyager Sandstorm vs Slugslinger
I like that they went with the younger version of Alpha Trion, when he was known as A3 in the G1 cartoon. Micronus, little disappointed he appears to be based on his RiD2015 design. Not a fan of that look for the character personally. But it's interesting that they gave him a transforming Apex Armor. I'd wondered how they'd represent the energy field some iterations portray protecting him. I like this idea more. Onyx, I think these images are transformed a bit better than the initial images we saw. It looks a little better here, but I still think this looks too simple for a Leader class figure.
