Do you smoke or drink Alcohol?

Smoking refers to Tabacco that is used in Cigarettes,Cigars. Smoking also refers to marijuana or other legal & illegial drugs that create smoke & create odor.

Personally,I don't smoke nor drink Alcohol? Mostly due to me caring about my health & watching older relatives die earlier because of this.

If you don't smoke,Then what do you think about the effects of getting second hand smoke. This can come from people smoking near you. People smoking so much that their clothes,breathe,car,house,rooms, can give you second hand smoke.

Ever buy a second hand toy or? from someone who smoked & the item smelling badly because of this?

If you don't smoke,are you willing to date a woman who smokes? to what extent will you tolerate this?

Life is already hard. I just don't want to tack on extra stuff to make it much harder. Like getting a DUI on my drivers liscense. Getting cancer. damaging my liver. Being so drunk that my senses & awareness are weak & I hurt myself or worse others.

Making Marijuana legal in some states will only add to this.

I don't smoke tobacco, and can count the number of times I've smoked marijuana on one hand (twice, really). I find I'm a pretty naturally high-strung person and all weed does is make me paranoid and gives me the munchies. My "drug of choice" is still sleep deprivation- back in high school when I was working on my novel I'd go without sleep for 2 or 3 days and then bang out 10 chapters.

Alcohol, on the other hand, I'm a bit of a snob. Fact of the matter is that alcohol is integral to human civilization and most meals are enhanced by a well-paired wine or beer (NOT mass market swill). I've been drinking wine since I was thirteen- I was in France with my mother and she heard about that nation's drinking laws and found them pretty good, and thankfully New York state allows parents to buy alcohol for their kids. These days I can't eat a steak without a nice merlot. I'm currently in the process of trying to develop a palate for liquors, starting with rum and recently branching out into whiskey and bourbon.

My professor with a doctorate in Mesopotamian Archaeology invited me over to his house a few months ago to try out the world's oldest beer recipe that he had been homebrewing. It was like an alcoholic porridge. Definitely an interesting experience.

Currently I'm dating a woman who smokes but I'm trying to get her to stop. Her teeth could use a little work. She's European, though, so they all smoke over there.

Nope. Don't smoke or drink and never have. I have no interest in either activity. Or drugs of any sort, for that matter.

Why does this thread exist?

My girlfriend and I go through about bottle or less of vodka or rum in about a month. (Whiskey's too expensive.) It amounts to just having a night in maybe once a week, tops. We have a few drinks and play video games or watch dumb movies.

If drugs were legal, I would do them. Since they aren't, I don't! (Also, my girlfriend's father had a lot of substance abuse problems so she's kind of touchy about that, and I respect that.)

I very rarely will have a social drink, and the past few years I've had a drink to calm my nerves 3 times. Whiskey and cola is my drink of choice to mix here at home.

I drink social. Last weekend I had a birthday party at my house and got pretty drunk. But I was home so no big deal. And I don't smoke. Ever.

Don't smoke or drink or do drugs. I grew up with two parents who were both heavy drinkers, and seeing them in action made me never want to be like that. There was a part of my life, where I wasn't even sure what my mom was like as a person, because she spent so much time being buzzed or drunk. Had to stage an intervention on her ass, and let me tell you how much fun those are- especially when they don't go well. So yeah- as a rule, I just stay away from all that stuff.
