The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!
Well, if you want to do something similar, there's always the Diaclone Black Sideswipe from the Powered Convoy DX giftset. It was just Powered Convoy with an exclusive red Mirage repaint (which oddly looks a bit like Fracture) and an exclusive black Sideswipe.
Actually, upon checking, that colour scheme became Deep Cover.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.
Spinout
Function: Misdirection
"You can't catch what you can't see!"
If you looked up "Childish," in the cyberdirectories, Spinout's picture would be there. Constantly plays pranks on other Autobots. Prime tolerates this because he's a good soldier. His purpose in battle is to act as a decoy or provide a distraction while other Autobots carry out the main objective. This fits Spinout perfectly, because he can't resist goofing off and playing tricks on Decepticons. High-speed turbo engine provides extra boost in vehicle mode up to 180 MPH. Super-slick tires provide excessive smoke for burnouts to cause a scene. Carries a portable EMP field generator that can temporarily disable enemy circuitry. Besides being extremely naive and immature, Spinout is incredibly weak to any form of concentrated ultraviolet or infared waves.
I dunno, I ran with it. It probably sucks.

I have a problem a problem with Sunstreaker's chest not rotating all the way around. It's stuck at "11:58" essentially. Anyone have this problem with Sideswipe? I suppose since the roof is his back it's not as big a deal, but I wondered if the problem had been fixed.

I worried about that, but technically Spinout's an '84 character, meaning Smokescreen stole it. Besiding that, Spinout does it in an entirely different way--I see Smokescreen doing stuff really calculated-like and kickassedly, while Spinout does ridiculous shit like yelling in Megatron's general direction and dancing in the battlefield.

Mine sorta tilts back that way occasionally, but I just flip it back when I notice it. I don't think it's fixed on Sideswipe, but as you said, I'm not looking at him.

Start shopping at midnight to 1 AM. Seriously, it's the best thing ever, there's never anyone around to bother you. Also stop in every day and find out when they get their shipments. My Wal-Mart gets them on Thursday, turns out.
Mind, I go to college and spend all night hanging out with people, and pass by a Wal-Mart on my way home, so this is convenient for me.
