My comments below:
The toy robot mode appears to be very show accurate. which is a good thing because the cartoon CGI Shockwave robot mode is extremely beautiful & a decent homage to 1985 Shockwave cartoon robot mode.
Please don't bash the ugly beast hunters armor bits because they are pop on/off accessories.
Rumor has it by fellow fans looking at that pic, that TFP Shockwave has a tank alt mode. I find this at least consistent that from 2008 thru 2013,shockwave maintains a tank alt mode. instead of getting random/whatever alt modes like megatron keeps getting.
I will say that this TFP Shockwave toy is a beauty & a fine 1985 homage sculpt,on the same exact level that Energon shockblast was.
After Four back to back failure awful sculpted & radical sculpted Shockwave toys from Alternators,Animated,DOTM & FOC,It's great to see the curse get broken with this TFP Shockwave toy. I must admit the FOC Shockwave toy showed promise in both designs but was ruined by being a extremly small deluxe & should have been Voyager sized.
that horrible Alternators Shockwave toy,I rate as the worst of the lot. due to 95% of the robot mode & alt mode sculpted designs that looked nothing like the generation one 1985 Shockwave. Having only a 1985 Shockwave Homage robot head & Laser hand is lame-o/weak.

Oh man, that looks pretty sweet.
Bash 'em? Bro, I love them. I should probably admit here that snap-on armor is one of my favorite toy gimmicks period, so I'm happy to see TF getting in on the action, if only a bit.Tigermegatron wrote:Please don't bash the ugly beast hunters armor bits because they are pop on/off accessories.
Oh that's ridiculous, what could possibly be fueling that rumor? Just because it shows a picture of Shockwave in tank mode with the words 'Cybertronian Tank Mode' next to it? These people are clearly jumping to conclusions and I won't stand for such baseless rumors being spread!Rumor has it by fellow fans looking at that pic, that TFP Shockwave has a tank alt mode. Homie, are you high? Animated Shockwave is an amazing toy, arguably one of, if not the, best of the line. Even people who don't like Animated have admitted that that one knocks it out of the park! After Four back to back failure awful sculpted & radical sculpted Shockwave toys from Alternators,Animated,DOTM & FOC,It's great to see the curse get broken with this TFP Shockwave toy. Animated Shockwave was decent, for an Animated toy.
I'm not getting this.

Interesting that Shockwave and Smokescreen have beast armor that comes off, unlike all of the other Beast Armor figures we've seen so far. Guessing that's because they hadn't gotten toys in the earlier part of the Prime franchise and Hasbro wanted to represent their normal appearances.
It's not a bad looking figure.

I'd be interested to see what it looks like without the armor. But then, I'd also be interested in seeing some "good" pictures of it, rather than a pic of a pic of some guy's magazine.
Also, I have to agree with Prowl and O6 on this one, Animated Shockwave was a damned good toy, a good Shockwave and one of, if not THE best faction changers ever. And Alternators Shockwave was also I think one of the best Alternators and a decent Shockwave. DOTM was easily the best DOTM toy I had (not that that's saying much) and I still think FoC Shockwave is one of the best figures from that line as well. Yeah, there are screws visible on the chest. But that's the only flaw on an otherwise perfect figure. At least it "looks" like Shockwave and it locks together completely in both modes.

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?
