IDW 2013 Overlord makes no sense, hopefully we get a toy.

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

In that Wreckers mini series comic from IDW. At the end it seemed liked overlord got heavily damaged beyond repair. Having IDW TF comics in 2013 feature Overlord in them seems forced & un-realistic.

Hopefully at the very least Hasbro/Takara creates a Leader sized Generations new mold toy for Overlord. Since hasbro did say they were seriously looking into creating toys based off the IDW TF comics Transformers characters/designs.

I actually reread Wreckers very recently, and while Overlord gets severely fucked up, he's still alive at the end. Impactor refuses to kill him and says he needs to be tried through the Autobot justice system. How he got repaired and underneath the floorboards of the Lost Light is still yet to be revealed. (Unless it was this month--I haven't read the latest ones.)

Which is a sign of something I've noticed about Roberts--he likes 'not' killing guys almost as much as he does killing guys. For every body in Wreckers or MTMTE, there's a guy who "nearly" dies and really should have bought it. Springer and Overlord both are effectively killed but shown to survive. Rung 'and' Red Alert get decapitated through different means, but survive. 'X character gets killed, only is revealed to have survived' is my current least-favourite Roberts cliffhanger.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.
