Well, I know Sawtooth was, definitely. It's the one that jumped out at me and make me speak up, since I adore Sawtooth.138 Scourge wrote:Let me get Mr. Luthor to tell you...BWprowl wrote:Macromasters, rawk!!138 Scourge wrote:Oh, man, I was gonna do a mini-con Cyclonus team, too. Cybertron Razorclaw into "Sawtooth", Shockwave into "Gouge" and Sky Lynx into "Steelgrave". You get about fifty thousand rad points if you can tell me where I stole those names from without googling.
"WRONG".
I dunno, were those names used in Macromasters? I'll have to check that out.

Okay, I'll count that, and round it up to half of the promised fifty thousand rad points, just 'cause. But no, I was thinking Starriors. The eighties' worst robot toys, but lord help me, I have an attachment to 'em.
Besides, their obligitory Marvel comic tie-in was rad. Worth noting, the "bad robot" leader's full name was "Slaughter Steelgrave" which I have more than once contemplated changing my name to.

I knew that I knew those names!
I had soem of them when I was a kid.
Awful toy, but I remember the comic was kinda cool.

Ooh, Fred's Variant Site has a big section on Starriors just 'cause nowhere else did at the time. They were cheesetastic.
