Box of tiny awesome arrived today from Shockwave in the form of the entire RTS wave of Legends. That's right, Shockers is such a bro that he threw Prowl in there anyway even after I said I didn't care about buying him (Nice of him too, since it turns out Prowl's actually a pretty cool toy). Also included a mildly-damaged-but-still-servicable Legends G2 Megatron (said damage not being much of an issue since I own the mold already anyway, but it's still cool as hell of you to do it, Shock). Anyway, the official package was Legends Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Trailcutter, and Gold Bumblebee, who are all really impressive, and not just by Legends standards (in general they feel really substantial. Somewhere between Cyberverse Commanders and the normal Legions). Love little stuff like the way Trailcutter's head-mounted launcher folds up with the panel his head is on, or the use of metallic silver paint on Megatron. I can *almost* see why people were getting so freakishly excited over these things now. Almost. Thanks a bunch Shock, you rock.
Now, it'd be really cool if that *other* toy I bought off that *other* guy would show up sooner or later... >_>

Re: November Hauls!
It's coming. Various woes (like bills and finding a box) have made it more difficult than initially planned.BWprowl wrote:Now, it'd be really cool if that *other* toy I bought off that *other* guy would show up sooner or later... >_>
Re: November Hauls!
Kinda funny that Megatron has an orange barrel tip. It is like the alternate mode is a "toy gun disguise".
-customizing yielded: factionless Thundercracker. It is a pretty straight forward custom involving buffing off the faction sigils. I think that the solvent might have warped the plastic a bit. For the record, I started using this stuff about 5 years back on action figures. So, I know that the solvent is not to blame if anything did warp. Hasbro is using cheaper grade plastic. On a related note, I may have found a QC issue with "Generations" Thundercracker. The front of the plane/chest of the robot did not fit cleanly into place when I was transforming the figure. The underside of the jet front seems to be mis-moulded, which keeps the hinge from fitting in to place. I was able to fixe it, but it took some doing.

-agrees that RTS Prowl is pretty good.

Re: November Hauls!
I had this same problem with my G2 Ramjet, so they must share (at least part of) the same mould; or it's breaking down in both moulds.Dominic wrote:The front of the plane/chest of the robot did not fit cleanly into place when I was transforming the figure. Re: November Hauls!
Mine all seemed ok. In fact, the only problem I had with Generations Thundercracker was that the right fist was in upside down. Had to disassemble it to fix it. But, other than that, I've been lucky enough not to have any of the reported QC problems with the seekers.
Re: November Hauls!
Late post to recap my late November hauls...
Black Friday sales on Steam yielded:
- Mass Effect 1 & 2 for PC (now i'm set for ME3's release)
- Witcher Enhanced Edition
- Witcher 2
- Dues Ex human Revolution (a gift from a friend)
Junkion Blacksmith's 2nd weapon set in both red and blue
FansProject's insecticon homages (Causality C-03, 04 & 05)
A new graphic card
2nd copies of TF Generations Drift and Wheeljack, which were on clearance
DotM Commanders Blackout & Guzzle (also on clearance)
And TF Prime's Bulkhead
I've not been following the series because of its unavailability here til a month or 2 back when they screened an episode everyday (at a time slot when I'm at work and kids are in school. What the heck are the TV guys thinking?). I have to say though, I like this toy a lot. I'm going to start looking for the show online right after i'm done with Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.
Yea, Lots of stuff, and I pretty much killed my November budgets. Curse the holiday season.
And I'm still hoping for Buttefly Prime to go on clearance too.
