Universe2.0/Generations Review Thread

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

Huh, I'll have to try that. Yeah, I really wanted Fracas. Swing and a miss Hasbro.

Get PCC Icepick (which isn't the worst thing you could do anyway, he's pretty dope), take Chainclaw, put in Scourge's hand. There you go, you've got a Fracas.

In Japan, there's recolors of some of the PCC Mini-cons standing in for some Targetmaster guys, and the Chainclaw mold is repainted (well, recolored) in black and grey to be Fracas, so there's sort of precedent for this. I'd have liked a Fracas in here myself, but I'm not too bothered by the lack of him. The two guns with their combining feature is a pretty neat weapon gimmick, and the weapon storage for this guy is almost nifty enough to make up for the lack of Targetmaster.

You could always substitute the original Cyclonus' Nightstick for Fracas, considering the whole model-swapping nonsense.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

That's a point. I've got Reissue Stepper around here somewhere, and have been considering digging him out for that purpose.

While studying the gun from "Generations" Scourge alongside "Universe" Nightstick, I realized that Nightstick looks much different than the original. In fact, it actually splits the difference between G1 Fracas and Nightstick. Customizing might be as simple as painting.

It's that model sheet thing. Fracas' animation model is Nightstick's and vice versa.

Running rumour is Senator Ratbat.

At this rate though, who knows if/when we're going to see these heads come to fruition. We still have Black Shadow and such.

I can almost see that, seeing as Ratbat and Scourge shared a mold barely a toyline ago. And it wasn't even a mold meant to be either of them from the beginning! For the record, the Noisemaze mold worked really well for Ratbat, not so well for Scourge.

I'm *still* waiting on an explanation for what Scourge was even DOING in that Botcon set!
