Transformers - ongoing series

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

What do you mean getting the Matrix wasn't Megatron's goal? Why would he even take it if it wasn't a goal to get it?

I think he meant it was a Means, rather than the End.

Do not blame the lawyers for protecting IP.

Gomess, the author would not be losing any money from pirated copies. He was likely paid for piece work, and would not get royalties even if that story were reprinted.

Shock, before dropping an old and rare comic flat onto your scanner (thus damaging it), poke around online for scans. You might be able to find them, thus saving your book.

The annuals are hardbacks, does that make a difference...? And if you're gonna tell Trekwave to look for scans, you may as well say that to everyone who wants to just read State Games all the way through without my rapier-edged commentary. BUT you should still look forward to it! And the rest of G1, if I can get a scanner.

Even if the Matrix was a means, it would still have to be a goal of Megatron's to get the Matrix for that purpose...

No, it really doesn't, other than the fact that I had to hold the side that wasn't in the scanner while it was scanning. But it's just a flat scanner not unlike the copy machines you see in offices. You lift the thing, put the document on the glass and scan. Mine's obviously considerably smaller, but I digress. I scanned it. All of it. My email is shockwave1701@gmail.com for anyone that wants the files for reading. As for damaging the book, it was damaged already from the fact that I've read it a bajillion times and have been since I was ten. Trust me, it's none the worse for wear. If anyone wants it, email me and include "State Games" in the subject line as that will help me identify the requests.

Shockwave
-Considering how long I've had it, and the fact that it was in the hands of a 10 year old kid, the annual is in REALLY good shape.

Gomess, i want to read your commentary. But, I also want to be able to read the story again.

And, if the copy was already damaged, then scanning it might be for the best.

It's in perfectly good shape and scanning didn't damage it.

*Is amused by the cyclical conversation that's been going on here for a few posts* So, in summation, everyone feel free to PM Trekwave for high-quality scans of an excellent condition annual, and hang around for a personal recap (with a sprinkling of equally good scans) from an equally solid copy, from yours truly, in the G1 forum!

Apologies for hijacking the thread, please folks get back to the topic at hand with no further ado.

No worries. You spared us a really cyclical back and forth between Sparky and myself. That said, Shockwave constantly appalls me with his willingness to damage toys or comics for the sake of the hobby. (He has expressed a willingness to peel the stickers off of a BC07 Thrust. The man is a damned lunatic.)
