how long have you fiddled? Cause I didn't think much of him on my first attempt either (although, my first attempt was to put him in G1 foot mode and... actually that went well and now that I think about it, that was why I liked him out of the box). Anyway, everything actually does lock or peg down so there is a definate robot mode there. So keep fiddling, you may warm up to him. I wasn't actually that successful or that impressed with his actual robot mode first time out, but then I hadn't pegged everything down properly either. Also, totally get Long Haul. He's a good toy.

Good couple days now.. I have yet to find truly satisfying places for the cab roof halves, the mixer drum sections, the wheel chunks on his arms, or the smokestack/gas tank assemblies. There are places where they seem to go by default, and places where they look okay, but they do not lock anywhere in a solid or satisfying manner, and I don't like it. His backpack's fine, though.

Hey, I got my Scourgebox today too! It contained...quite the boon to my Energon Decepticon ranks:

Wee! Spent most of my time to far playing with Shockblast. His orbital death ray mode is surprisingly fun (big and whooshable), and his robot mode kicks all kinds of ass. Love the claw-working gimmick on his cannon-hand (the sound effects, not so much). Plus, he's one of the coolest characters from the show, so that's a plus (though I want a Six Shot now too). Less detailed thoughts on the others: Barricade has a kinda iffy vehicle mode, but his robot mode is heavily G1-slaught-ish, and pretty cool, though it needs a gun badly. Demolishor sucks hard in vehicle mode, but his robot mode is entertaining enough to make up for it. I actually like firing missiles when they come in large quantities. Battle Ravage is neat enough. Weapons could be more versatile and his arms could be more posable, but his kitty mode is cool. Cruellock is kinda unstable and his arms don't really work for beast mode, but he looks really cool in robot mode, and his weapons are awesome. Insecticon...is the the third one I have, counting Chromehorn Forest Type, and I don't regret it at all! This is one of the best toys to have multiples of.

And I also recieved a notice that said that my Superlink Grand Convoy/Kicker Anniversary set (Which came all the way from Canada!) is waiting for me down at the Post Office! So to there I shall go tomorrow!

How did you miss the Terrorcons at the time, man? Give Shockblast Cruellock's sword without the gun, it fits perfect in his hand-hand. Wasn't fond of Shockblast's toy at all, I like Sixshot slightly more, joint tolerances help. That one's one of the real sufferers of Energon Soundbox Syndrome, where the toy's stupid sound gimmick hinders it severely.

No, we discussed this, that useage is outdated. It's perfect for ClaMegs, with his green wings that are the exact same colour.

EDIT: And I completely forgot to mention the stuff I got.

Saw GI Joe. I must say--that's how you do an adaptation of the toyline. The SE/SS murder situation is more simplified (but still left open enough that they could expand it in the sequel--turns out Firefly killed Hard Master or something like that), Scarlett/Ripcord wasn't overplayed nor particularly groan-inducing, don't like what they did with Baroness when compared to the comics but it's a new continuity so I don't care. And as much as that toy manages to make it look cruddy, CC looks great in the movie. And so does The Doctor. Destro's helmet can take a belt sander to the face, though.

Also used some coupons I got through the mail (both electronic and physical) and bought Pokemon Adventures volume 2 (Shutup! Prowl gets to buy cruddy manga all the time, why can't I?) for five bucks and the Clerks 10th Anniversary DVD set, slightly used, for a mere ten bucks. You cannot beat that!

And I also got a memory card for my Dreamcast.

My second ROTF purchase is just so off the wall, I couldn't resist. Basic Ejector, the toaster-bot. This thing's crazy with his goblin face, pyromania and stats that I think were all 1s or 2s, apart from courage which was 10. And he turns into a toaster... what more could you want?

Wow...a kinda amazing box came in today from TrekWave today. It was kinda awesome.

Universe Rollbar: Y'know, Tiger-striped one. He cool.

McDonald's Animated Prime: These are hilarious.

McDonald's Animated Starscream: Say what you will, I kinda like this mold.

Cybertron Legends Soundwave: Haven't fiddled much yet, but given that I love little TFs, and I adore Cybertron Soundwave, I think we see where this'll go.

Universe Legends Hound: Awesome. You rock, Shocker.

And what I actually traded with the guy for: Animated Ratchet (soon my science project begins!) and Titanium Thrust. I really like the Thrust. The mold's kinda nice, if a lil' flawed, and I was surprised to find the transformation to be considerably different than how Cybertron Starscream changes. Very cool.

I got Dead End! Retool-of-Sideways Dead End, not Basic Dead End, who sucks and I regret buying him. Deluxe Dead End is several flavours of neat. See JT's review thread for more!

Does he suck just on general principle, or does he fit together poorly? My Nightbeat did, and I feared cheapness of mold, that he would be so degraded so quickly. Turns out, the shoulder bits and hip bits were swapped on assembly. I love BasicEnd, despite his redness, and I just lessthanthree[1] (will troopbuild as cashflow allows) Nightbeat.

So BasicEnd is a repaint of some version of Nightbeat? I really like DeluxeEnd, he's way more awesome than Sideways for paint app alone. Although I gotta say I like the head on Dead End better than Sideways.

No, Basic Dead End is the first release, the cruddy red car. Nightbeat is the cruddy blue repaint.

Also, Sideways' head is awesome.

So, I got paid today, and promptly spent too much money! First, I hit up Wal-Mart and found Ejector! He is okay as an actual toy, but concept is high win, what with the Brave Little Robot Toaster thing going for him. Not gonna review this one, I don't think.

Then I hit Target and found...nothing worthwhile! So I bought a The Office Notebook with Steve Carell on the front. It says Leadership. I don't even watch The Office! But it was two bucks and I'm heading back to school anyway, so. Then on the way out, I glanced at the $5 register movies and--wait, back up, is that Se7en? Quintessential 90s movie Se7en? For five bucks? Bought it on the spot. It's a cruddy bare-bones DVD with basically no extra features that I can see, but hey, five bucks, and it's Se7en.

Then I went to TRU! I found Serial Killer Snake Eyes, perhaps better known as Paris Pursuit. Bought two, one for me and one for a friend. Also saw some Jolts and Ice Cream Twins, but I'm passing on the Twins there and such. Blazemaster looks crap.

Then I went to the mall! I found A Skinny Puppy tribute album with some bands I've heard of on it! I'm a sucker for covers and tribute albums, even if they suck, which they usually do, but part of me thinks this will be okay. Haven't listened yet, but will report back with thoughts I suppose. The album was only seven bucks with my discount, so it's not a huge loss.

Then I went to Barnes & Noble! I found Maximum Dinobots finally! Bought that sucker then and there. Then I went home.

I bought two more of those notebooks for friends of mine who actually 'do' watch The Office. And that Skinny Puppy tribute album turned out to, unexpectedly, suck ass. Sigh. It's really sad when I can likely cover those songs better than 'established' bands who actually have releases.

EDIT: I am a sucker. I bought Movie Cobra Commander and General Hawk.

Yay, it's Deej!

Dead End has awful joint tolerances, the plastic feels brittle, and his joints are all either too loose or too tight for his own good. I wanted to like it, but it's too small to work well.
