Re: IDW Transformers Comics - retro reviews

The end of the issue hints that Sixshot is still alive, but do we ever see him again in this continuity? Not that I can recall. He appears again in the Optimus Prime series, issue #13. On another note, is this story the only time we actually see Devastator formed by all six Constructicons, at least...

Re: TV shows are awesome

I still wonder if it's really her in control of this reality, as it appears to be, or if there's something bigger going on behind the scenes. Yeah, I'm really curious about this as well, considering it seems like either could be possible at this point. Wanda seems to be able to control this reality...

Re: TV shows are awesome

Wandavision episode 3 Looks like they based the set off of the Brady Bunch in this episode. It's still very much in the realm of sitcom antics while Wanda and Vision try to hide the that they are any different from their neighbors, which is made more difficult for them to do with the situation they ...

Furman never liked Arcee. He always thought she was a bad idea, and the "Spotlight" issue is an update of that.
Yeah, there is that as well.

Re: IDW Transformers Comics - retro reviews

I don't want to get too bogged down in this one issue, but I wonder how much an author can be responsible for anticipating all reactions and tailoring his writing accordingly? So many things get reevaluated as society changes and something a writer looks at one way when he writes it might be seen e...

Re: IDW Transformers Comics - retro reviews

As for Arcee, I'm not sure why anyone would read this and think some larger statement is being made about women here. Arcee is a unique individual at this point, and these are her experiences. Don't get me wrong, I don't think it was Furman's intentions to make any comments about women or transwome...

Re: IDW Transformers Comics - retro reviews

This is another winning Spotlight, though the Magnificence ends up being a plot device that vanishes in the compression of Furman's plotlines. I don't know if Barber or Roberts ever pick it up, given all of their use of Furman storylines later on. Roberts brought it back in Lost Light, and would ex...

Re: TV shows are awesome

I really enjoyed the first two episodes. It's fun seeing Vision and Wanda essentially living as if their lives are old sitcoms. They somewhat based these two episodes off of the Dick Van Dyke show and Bewitched in-particular, even more or less replicating the sets from those shows. I get a sense of ...

Looks like The Green Lantern season 2 is coming to an end in March... The April solicitations has a new Green Lantern title launching, but The Green Lantern is no longer part of the lineup.

Re: IDW Transformers Collection hardcovers

Shockwave ever come back after he was written out? I can't remember everything that happened as a result of that story, but it did change a few things that stayed changed, which isn't always the case with a big crossover. Yeah, he comes back, just before the Unicron story arc that wrapped up this i...
