Times has an <a href=\"http:\/\/herocomplex.latimes.com\/2011\/01\/14\/michael-bay-ready-to-make-you-forget-transformers-2-it-was-kind-of-a-mess\/\">interview<\/a> with Transformers 3 director Micheal Bay, in which he discusses the upcoming Transformers film, as well as his thoughts on Revenge of the Fallen.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153It was kind of a mess, wasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t it?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d an unsmiling Bay said of the 2009 film, which was far from a flop \u00e2\u20ac\u201d it grossed a potent $836 million worldwide, finishing third for the year behind only \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Avatar\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and the sixth \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Harry Potter\u00e2\u20ac\u009d movie. But the director still talks about the blockbuster in tones of regret. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Look, the movie had some good things in it and it was entertaining and it did very well, but it also failed in some key ways. I learned from it.
