NOW I'VE REALLY GOTTA RE-WATCH the 1986 TF movie & see Which of the
NEWER 2 unicron toys comes the closets to the unicron colors. Will
the Takara 2010 unicron colors or the amazon.com 25th unicron colors
look more 1986 TF Movie Unicron colors

Please take the time & look thru all 256 pics & then decide what your
favorite color scheme is.

I spent a decent amount of time & i've concluded all 4 unicron
different colored toys have their negatives & positives.

My FAVORITE colored unicron toy is the Takara 2010 Unicron toy.

I kinda feel like buying all 4 different colored unicron toys &
swapping parts back & forth to create the ultimate color scheme.
sadly,I only own one armada unicron toy & not the other 3 color
variations.

I also studied the newer unicron head sculpt verses the older unicron
head sculpt. I've concluded the armada/energon unicron head sculpt
might look a bit better because it's got a thicker more full grown
beard & mustache thing going on. while the newer unicron head sculpt
has a shorter meard/mustache thing going on. The newer unicron head
sculpt looks a bit AMISH because it might not have a mustache or a
extremly short grown mustache. I find it kinda IRONIC THAT THE NEWER
UNICRON HEAD SCULPT STILL HAS THE "M" design in the head. boasting
about taking away the minicon "M" seem to be the selling point of this
toy.

ON TOO THE COLORS: Amazon.com 25th Unicron's darker shinny orange is
the best looking on the 4 toys. I honestly think the ocean blue ruins
the toy as it looks like the robot mode is wearing blue jeans. the red
color looks very kiddie. the ocean blue & red kinda make the toy look
more kiddie/toddler friendly. What I HATE most is the ocean blue,red &
dark orange don't blend fluid into each other. hasbro is notorious for
creating TF color schemes that CLASH with each other & don't blend
fluid into each other. example: Armada Tidalwave.

I think the Takara 2010 Unicron colors look the best & the most adult/
mature/collextor type colors. the different colors do a awesome job of
blending into each other fluidly.

The Armada Unicron. at the very least the colors blend into each
other. this seems. I don't like the purple on the toy. the grey is a
bit too much as it covers too much of the toy. I really thing the
stomach/abdomen 6 pack looks the best on this color variation & the
best of the 4 unicron colored toys. that yellow is just awful,hasbro
loves yellow,every hasbro employee must have to wear some yellow in
their work outfit or they get sent home for the day.

Energon unicron I guess is cool for those TF fans who like those
colors. I really don't like the translucent orange that much. I call
these colors the HALLOWEEN Unicron toy colors.

So I can't see them, but I can assure you I'd rather not have my Unicron in "mature" colours. Childish all the way! Was it the Energon one that was black and translucent green? That was fun.

If you ask me, Hasbro is obviously shooting for an homage to the unproduced original Unicron toy from 1986:

This colour scheme comes from earlier colour models and was how Unicron was coloured in the Marvel comics:

It's clear that, as usual, Hasbro and Takara are following the regular dichotomy of "Hasbro does things coloured like the original toys; Takara does things coloured like the cartoon."

O6,thanks for the additional unicron links.

I took a while & studied all the additional unicron links pics,with the newly added hasbro 1986 proto type unicron link pics & the marvel comics unicron art pics.

06,I see absolutely ZERO resemblence in colors between the hasbro 1986 proto type unicron toy & the Amazon.com 25 unicron toy.
FOR STARTERS Neither toy has any yellow on it. SECOND,The hasbro unicron proto type has medium grey & not ocean blue. the proto type 1986 hasbro unicron has a lighter orange shade than the darker glossy 25th amazon.com unicron toy. ABOUT the only similar color shade both the 1986 hasbro unicron proto type & the 25th hasbro amazon toy share is that red color shade.

I definitely like the painted chest on the G1 versions more than the translucent plastic on the Armada/Energon versions. Overall, I think I prefer the colors on Takara's G1 version of Unicron. They brought out some of the smaller details of the figure that it doesn't look like the other versions do. Although the colors on Hasbro's version makes it look a bit more menacing.

Yes,the '86 Unicron proto has yellow & orange but I don't see blue,

I clearly see medium grey on the Hasbro 1986 unicron proto type/test shot.

Anyways FWIW,Neither of the 4 differently colored unicron toys have any yellow.

Except the newest Unicron is clearly as yellow as Armada Unicron was. (You can't call that damn toy orange. He's not. Compare his colour to some Bumblebees.)
