The War For Cybertron thread

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

The War For Cybertron thread

Post by Shockwave »

This idea may seem a bit dated, but since there is still going to be some stuff coming, what the heck? I thought I'd create a single thread for all things WFC. We can review the games (2nd one comes out late this year), the toys (I still expect the seekers to come out at least) so there should still be plenty to talk about. Right now, my WFC question is, has anyone around here even seen a copy of Soundwave? I continue hunting, but I'm getting sick of the hunt. Also, what would you guys like to see them improve in the next game? Frankly, I'll be a happy camper if we just get more customization options for the MP modes.

Soundwave has popped up a couple of times around here in Greenville SC, but I haven't seen all that many. In fact, the only plentiful WFC figures have been Bumblebee and Optimus Prime. The others have shown up in far smaller quantities.

Make the Wii version more like the other console versions.

I saw a few around before Christmas, but haven't seen any lately. If I do, I'll nab one for you like we'd talked about before. So I guess my WFC question is, have you found a Sledge around?

Sledge. I'll keep an eye out. The only place I saw any new PCCs was at a Walmart. I'll check again and if I see one I'll get one. Actually I did find Leadfoot and got him, but I knew you already had him because of your review (which is really the only reason I got it. And was not disappointed).

Cool, glad you dug him if I was talking you into getting the guy. That is a cool toy, ain't it? The giant Powermaster engine on the race car almost has a Big Daddy Roth vibe going for it.

Indeed. It's like having a Powermaster and a Targetmaster in the same toy. And the combiner blue parts hide really well in all modes which makes it display nicely. They really did a great job with this one.
