Apple Trailers has posted the first teaser for the next movie! Of course it's not very long but they show more than I expected for a teaser. It looks pretty cool so far.

I guess the only question I have so far is, who's that 'bot we see sitting comatose in the trailer?
Man, I would love to be sitting in the theater with people seeing this for the first time. There'd be all this 'What is this?' 'Looks interesting' whispering and talk and then 'Michael Bay?!' 'Another *Transformers* movie?!'
Oh yeah, priceless.

So, Bay listened to me about giving his TF movies ineffably stupid titles. (RISE of the Fallen, you brain-addled nincompoop!!)
Seriously, I didn't even get that this was TF3 from the title. I assumed it was an actual film! But you've got to appreciate Bay's love of extraneous pointy metal bits. It's like 1994 all over again. *sniff* ....I'ma go read some X-Force.
Sparky, your avatar is dead, at least on my screen, even after cache-clearing and refreshing. So's you know.

Sparky's av is fine to me.
Here it is on YouTube if you hate Quicktime:

Who *is* the yellow guy? Nobody we've seen is yellow. And it's obviously not Shockwave.

Oyeah, all better now. Weird!
I hereby posit that yellow guy is.... BABY UNICRON.

A lot of people are suggesting Alpha Trion. It certainly *looks* like it could be him, though I have no idea how that would fit into the plot.

Why so? Did we already see any pictures of Shockwave? If that thing from the second movie can be Devastator, the yellow dude could be Shockwave.

Zzz zzz.... oh, what's that? Sorry, I dozed off while nothing happened for 2 minutes. An expensive 2 minutes, I'd guess.
I especially love Bay's vision of the open robot eye lifeless turning on, then we zoom in past a million ridiculous gears and teeth to reveal... ANOTHER EYE!
The astronauts should have said "this is an unintelligible junkyard, I guess aliens do exist and they just leave their trash on our moon now."

There was an
image (possible spoilers in the link) of a head cut-out prop they were using on the Chicago set that undeniably looks like Shockwave...
And the blue eye color they give the yellow robot in the teaser would suggest he's an Autobot.

I say it's understandable a ship that crashed on the moon, who knows how long ago, subject to and unprotected from meteor showers would look pretty badly banged up. But even then, it didn't look unintelligible to me. The ships engines were distinctive on the back of the ship, and the section the astronauts checked out looked to possibly be the bridge.

I just hope it turns out Yuri Gagarin at least saw it crash, or something, but his government didn't believe him as it covered him in praise. The kind of revisionist history Bay's giving us here is a liiittle creepy to me, because it targets the emotions of as wide an audience as possible while simultaneously ignoring so much.
Reaching Outer Space > Landing on the Moon, as far as "greatest achievements of humankind" go. Maybe that's just me.
Of course, there is that (joke) rumour of a commie Decepticon from the 50s..... which I kinda hope is true, if the goofy meter really HAS been turned down. TFs + Cold War = Good story time?
