Can anyone pleeaase point me in the direction of an English subbed version of the one and only episode of Turansufoumaa Zone? No torrents plz. And I'm not too fussed about the visual quality, but it's the only piece of G1 cartoon I don't own and it's bugging me!

Dang, that's a tall order. I fired up Vuze and did find way-dead torrents of both an English-subbed version and a DVDrip (unsure of the subtitle situation on that one). I'll let them idle here and see if there's any movement, and if I find any success, I'll be sure to upload them to a direct download site for you.
Meanwhile, a search for 'Transformers Zone' on 4chan's generally useful /rs/ aggregate turned up a whopping ONE dead RapidShare link. Sorry 'bout that.
While the TFwiki does seems to make a bigger deal than it should about Cain and Akira's adorable shota-boy-love, it doesn't really come across as GayPanicHomophobia or anything. More like 'Huh, that's unexpected in a TF cartoon'.

Boo-Yah.
It's...pretty on par with other Japanese G1 shows (one of these days I'm gonna effing finish Masterforce). There's almost a kind of proto-Energon feel going on here, with the Cybertrons colonizing other parts of space, hanging out with a kid in power armor, the Destrons being bossed around by a mysterious, vaguely Quintesson entity, and a plan revolving around creating a new galaxy. And 'Cain' gets called 'Kai' here, for whatever reason. Sonic Bomber is an annoying prick. Predaking has a doofy face. And the Zone-Sword is awesome, it slices Predaking in fucking half! So overall, a decent way to waste half an hour, especially if you're trying to finish off your Japanese G1 viewing.
Dammit Sonic Bomber shut the hell up!

I just wonder *why* they decided to introduce a near-BL-level relationship complete with Shoujo Bubbles to Transformers at that point. I guess the 90s had fully begun, I always think of TF as a purely 80s thing, but BL certainly would've been on the rise.
I don't have time to watch it at the moment, but I'll let you know if it works in 10 minutes!
