Why am I a Vehicon, according to my profile? What does this mean? Did I join some special group on the boards a while back and forget??

Yeah, you did.

But what does it mean? Are there other factions??

Yes.

I'm not sure what the purpose of the factions are, but you can choose one under the control panel. On a purely practical level, it allows you to change the color of your name if you like.

You might pm JediTricks directly. He set up the board, so he's probably the best one to help you out. I'm guessing that on a board with a large amount of members that usergroups would help people with different interests find others with the same interest more easily. On a board this small, it's not really necessary.

Yeah, on here I just added it for fun. We have all those different faction symbols in our logo to symbolize our interest in welcoming all views from the TF universe, so it seemed like an easy step to add the concept to the user accounts as well.

I've been working on getting the groups' faction logos to appear in users' info in their posts, but the templates got reset on the last system update.
