"Generations" Red Alert

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

"Generations" Red Alert

Post by Dominic »

Pics have surfaced. Unlike the Japanese figure, this one uses Prowl's lightbar and has the engine block. This actually helps with customizing.

Depending on how the siren connects, there may or may not be connection holes to fill in. But, yeah....Breakdown.

There are already holes in the top of Sideswipe and Sunstreaker, where the engine attaches. Maybe they'll use the same ones to attach the lightbar on Red Alert? If they planned far enough ahead, that's probably the case.

Again, I'm glad I didn't spring for the Henkei version, since this one will suit me just fine.

Dom is referring to the hole to attach the lightbar which is separate from the notches for the engine.

Lightbar AND engine block. If I'd read Dom's post thoroughly I'd have known that.

I should have been more clear between the already existing, (and accepted), notches and the hypothetical screw holes.

The more I think about it, the more likely it seems that Hasbro would remould the lightbar rather than the roof. If nothing else, having stripped that figured down a few times, I have the impression the roof would be more difficult to alter, let alone restore.

This figure's appealling to me even though I HAVE the Henkei version. It's nice in a different way, and if I wanted to, I could always customize it... yeah, into Breakdown. Damn, it'd be nice to get ahold of an extra Botcon Breakdown head for that purpose... but how? No how, that's how. :(
I disappear.

Yeah, I forgot to mention this earlier in the thread: I have a Botcon set on order and plan to use Breakdown specifically for molding copies of Breakdown's head in G1 colors.
