the broken street date thread

Money, violence, sex, computer graphics, scatalogical humor, racism, robots designed to be rednecks but given European accents, and maybe another sequel to the saga... what's not to love? TF m1, Revenge of the Fallen, Dark of the Moon and now Age of Extinction.

Unless you saw it with you own eyes, refer to the source.

David van Domelen's page reports the a Target in Californis has broken street daye on some of the peripheral figures, like Robot Heroes and Replicas.

Dom-looking for Deluxe Arcee.

Arcee hasn't even been revealed yet, you sure you're not thinking of Chromia?

One of my Targets is among the date-breakers. They had a bunch of Robot Heroes out. Interesting to note Springer, who almost looks like he's based on the Incinerator mold from the last movie, 'cept with proper hands. Do we know about this guy already, and I'm just being ignorant?

We do. Sort of.

He's also got a Legends toy (I actually typed LoC--old habits die hard) and that has hands too, so if/when he gets a properly sized toy, I don't think it's going to be an Incinerator retool.

I expect an Incinerator repaint to begin with, with a new mould later on.

Bumblespud is reportedly out in NZ, and my indifference is only exceeded by my apathy.

I am thinking of that promised bike-team merge-bot.

Arcee? Psh, we'll probably get two versions of her too: combining vehicle-mode-only toys, and transforming single components that don't combine. This is how Hasbro preserves the MOVIE MAGIC apparently.

Yeah. This is where the lack of content/bad content of the movie comes into play. Ya see, if the movie was good, and had soft-properties I liked, I could forgive the lack-luster efforts on some of the toys. But, because the movie has little content, (and I find much of what is there to be distasteful), I have like the toys (or at least their package profiles) before I buy them.

I bought many of the first movie toys based on liking the comics and package profiles. I was on the fence about Devastator. Finding out that the big Devastator figures will not even have separate vehicle vehicle modes killed it for me, barring an amazing showing in the comics.

Word. I'm STILL not excited by the ROTF line as a whole. The Human Alliance figures may be just about it for me.

Case in point, my Target also had the Robot Heroes, and I felt no urge whatsoever to buy ANY of them, despite buying almost all of the previous sets. Hmm.
I disappear.

I'm excited for a few figures. Sideways, Sideswipe, Prime, Mega Megs, Starscream, Human Alliance in general, all the Basics. Mixmaster looks pretty cool, and I'll probably get Super Megs as well. And Sounds, just because it's Sounds, despite looking sucky. Wheelie and Scalpel have an oddball charm to them. Jetfire's a must too, if only for alt mode and as Prime booties. Only the twins and Devastator are offensively horrid, the remainder of the line is just uninspiring thus far.
