SDCC '14 Exclusive "Class of '84" 30-pack of Kreons

The originals... ok, not exactly, but the original named "The TransFormers" anyway. Take THAT, Diaclone!
Generation 1, Generation 2 - Removable fists? Check. Unlicensed vehicle modes? Check. Kickass tape deck robot with transforming cassette minions? DOUBLE CHECK!!!

SDCC '14 Exclusive "Class of '84" 30-pack of Kreons

Post by JediTricks »

Got $60 you want to turn into a 30-pack of Kreons in fancy-pants packaging with a few fun artifacts?

http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-new ... et-180518/

Arcee and Perceptor and Ultra Magnus (central white cab bot) are in here for some reason despite not being in this class, Rumble is blue, the nameplates for Sideswipe and Shrapnel are in the wrong order, Sunstreaker has a can of hairspray cylinder and a blond wig, there's printed panels of a bootleg Transformers VHS tap, the cassette minions are printed flat panels in alt mode, there's a printed panel for a floppy disc and a brick phone and a Rubik's cube, a panel that says "I Autobot-sigil 80.", a panel of a ticket to the "Till All Are One" concert, and a panel of TF:TM the Soundtrack, I think.

BECAUSE MONEY IS NO OBJECT, THAT'S WHY!!!

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

If nothing else, these would work great to throw together as a little concert crowd for the Knights of Unicron.

I was wondering why TF-exclusives seemed excessively "Totally 80's!" this year, then realized we're in the middle of a big anniversary, so it kinda makes sense to pay homage to the original era itself.

Neat enough, though Kre-Ons aren't really my bag, personally. The ones from BotCon last weekend looked to have really nice altmodes though.

Sadly, this is the best thing at SDCC this year. (The Dinobots/Ark thing looks thrown together. G1 colours do not really work on Bayformer figures.)

Actually $60usd for 30 Kreons is not bad. (Figure blind bag Kreons are $3 and change, and those require the extra steps of reading/matching codes, assuming that you are not the one who is also compiling the codes.) And, that set has a significant amount of figures that would be difficult to get (assuming they were even made).

I don't like nor buy TF kreon's. So this is a easy pass. Don't even like the bigger build it Kreo TF sets. Also think those Construct-bots TF toys are awful.
