June hauls!
June hauls!
I guess I get to start this one.
Generations Skrapnel, Tailgate and Skywarp. Saw these at Target and they were exactly what I was looking for. Was hoping to see Cosmos and Swerve there but no luck. They did have the two pack with AoE Prime and FoC Grimlock. Man, that Grimlock is shiny. I might have break down and get that. If I do, anyone want the shiny as hell Optimus that comes with?

Re: June hauls!
HTS delivered my AOE Hound yesterday. In theory, this is an absolutely awesome figure, a lot of great stuff going on, but in practice there are some tolerance issues holding it back from that highest level of enthusiasm. Likable none the less.

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

So anymore, I have to really put some effort into convincing myself to get a toy. Even when I know it's veey likely a good one. I'll have to mull it over for about a week. So for the last week I've been half-convinced to get Scoop, but been trying to get myself to pull the trigger. While wandering through Target the other day, I spotted Tailgate and Shrapnel and all of a sudden it was like "Who the hell is Scoop?" Neither set is exactly mind-blowing, but they each are at least pretty good, and both have things that I really like going on. Good decision, I think, though I still might go after Scoop. He looks keen.

Picked up Tailgate & Groundbuster yesterday, far less impressed with this set than most of you. I think Dom called it out in text message, but I actually like this set even less than he did - which is damned rare.

Same here, which is one reason I'm reluctant to give up on the comics, even though IDW is trying to convince me. They're my last consistent Transformers purchase every month. But I'm sure I'll find a figure or two to interest me down the line.138 Scourge wrote:So anymore, I have to really put some effort into convincing myself to get a toy. Re: June hauls!
Monday was my birthday, but conflicts made today the day to celebrate. I cashed a $50 check and managed to nab:
-AOE Strafe and...Slug, I think? Whatever. The two headed flying dude and the triceratops. Fuck this shit.
-IDW TMNT 30th Anniversary Special. Haven't read it yet or done much research, but it was the only thing I wanted in the comic shop.
-Starship Troopers on DVD! It has been like 3 years straight of trying to find this movie for $5 or less. New copies ran $7 and that's just too much.
-Construct-Bots Breakdown; this was a gift from my mother on the way to dinner, seemed like she bought it for me on impulse, but it's the thought that counts, and I've never been interested enough to actually buy one of these things but have wanted to mess with one, so we'll see!
-And the crown jewel, a copy of 'The Art of The Matrix,' lightly used (from what I can tell) from a book outlet. Huge-ass hardcover with tons of cool pictures and script bits and concept art from the movie; I loved the first film to death and as soon as I saw this, I knew I had to have it. Only ran me $6! The cover price was $60 originally but I'm sure it could be found cheaper online at this point.

Nice haul, and again Happy Birthday. I know I said that on fb, but that was a couple days early.
Anywho... Target exclusive AoE Optimus and FoC Grimlock. Reviews in appropriate threads.

Yeah, bro, happy birthday a bit late. I would have posted on the facebook, but I don't mess around on there as much as I used to.
Wow, just realized that my phone just ate a chunk of my hauls post a couple posts up. Corrected that so it made more sense. Basically, I was trying to talk myself into getting Scoop when I saw Tailgate and Skrapnel.

Re: June hauls!
I bought Transformers Animated season three at Target this evening for $10. FINALLY get to see how the series ends! I suppose it's probably on Dailymotion or something, but I just enjoy popping in the DVD and watching it on tv.
Re: June hauls!
Generations Doubledealer. I price matched at TRU for it because I didn't feel like paying their overinflated price for it. And it worked. I'm not gonna review him because he's Blitzwing just recolored.
Also: Marvel Transformers Universe 1-4. These were dirt cheap on ebay, got all four for less than ten bucks.
