"Cybertron monday" may 12,will sell TF4 toys online first. According to Joshua Jovian from Hasbro: "The new Movie line hits the week of May 17th. There's going to be an online sell date of May 12th. We're code naming it "Cybertron Monday", so that's when people will be able to go online and then brick and mortar will have it the week of May 17th."
Personally,I think this is a good idea. Obviously it makes more sense to find sites that offer free shipping with qualifying purchases.
The 2011 DOTM toy line was a royal nightmare to find any DOTM toys on the street release date. As retail stores refused to stock DOTM toys on shelves/pegs until the previous TF brands toys all sold out. The outcome in my areas local retail stores were some stores waited a few days while others like target waited a few weeks to put DOTM toys on shelves/pegs,well after the official street release dates given to them by Hasbro.
Many local retail stores in my area,Had to deep clearance the previous TF toy line brands. to make room on the pegs/shelves for DOTM toys.
Then there was that "CARS 2" toys that were released the same week of the DOTM toys. Most stores in my area had the bulk of the toy department employees stock the "Cars 2" toys on pegs/shelves first. this caused a delay of stocking DOTM toys on shelves/pegs.
