THREAD UPDATE: Thus far it's been revealed from botcon that the SDCC 2013 Convention will be having some con-exclusive Transformers TF toys,Theirs a titan metroplex with a chrome face & chrome thighs. a G-1 Colored BH Shockwave. Some either new or older legends G-1 TF toys.

Theirs go to be a re-issue predaking gift set sold in the USA store or site.

Platinum edition Grimlock VS FOC Bruticus looks like a disappointment. As The FOC Combaticons/Bruticus appear to be ALMOST in their SDCC colors. While Grimlock is only got the partial chrome treatment. I would have preferred all of the ugly caramel parts got done in gold chrome---> those beast feet needed to be gold chrome not caramel.

MY SPECULATION is Hasbro fills up the display cases with newer stuff on Saturday & shows off some projector pics of newer never before seen TF toys. hasbro will most likely also explain in words some newer TF toys comming out in 2013 & 2014.

I GUESS ON THE BRIGHT SIDE,The SDCC 2013 convention is just 2 weeks away. Hasbro will most likely show loads of new TF toys their.

At best,While I dis-like all the designs in all modes,I love all the head sculpts----> I might buy a few just to swap out the heads with some of my mass released TF toys versions from other TF toy lines.

Thus far nobody at Botcon or elsewhere who has seen these in person,Has commented on what size level these things are. AT BEST I'M GUESSING THEY ARE ALL DELUXE SIZED. I just don't see these designs being voyager sized. HOPEFULLY THEIR NOT ALL BASIC SIZED.

The BH Predacons rising figures are in the display cases at botcon http://www.seibertron.com/events/galler ... =0&start=0 I haven't a clue why BH Ultimate Predaking is listed as a Target store exclusive---> I looked at the pics,I didn't see any difference in the toy colors shown from months ago. I thought BH Ultimate Predaking was a mass released toy not a store exclusive.

What is up with these "simplified" designs? I don't get the long term strategy they're going for here. Same price, but bigger and yet shittier? I dunno, I can't fathom if I'd want that as a kid. I, personally, am sick of when hasbro starts to bloat a line with multiple iterations of the same character that look similar- if you're going to put out multiple versions of a character's toy at least have it be a new mold (like the difference between RID and BH optimus prime, or like when Primal became a Transmetal).

My 2 cents below:

1- 2013/2014 Beast Hunters toys news: I LOVE & WILL BE BUYING THE UP SIZED LEGION SIZED TERRORCONS THAT ARE NOW DELUXE SIZED. Hopefully Hasbro releases all Five,So buyers can form a huge BH Abonimus. Releasing just 2 deluxe sized Terrorcons would be cruel/odd/weird/un-wise. I noticed the Deluxe Terrorcons twinstrike & Windrazor now have REVERSE combiner ports. They have the holes instead of the pegs. It's possible Hasbro Redesigned the Deluxe Hun-gurr to give it more poseabilty,Perhaps the redesign gave Hungurr reverse combiner ports where he now has pegs instead of holes ports.

1a- I like the Newer BH Voyager for Predaking,love the translucent orange wings. don't care about the newer BH voyager Optimus. i'm 50/50 on Platinum Ultra Magnus. I'm not interested in anything else from the BH toy line.

2- 2013/2014 Generations Voyagers toys: I love the newer mold Voyagers for Rhinox & Whirl,Both seem like their home runs. Double Dealer seems like a odd repaint choice,I would have done Flywheels or Overlord using this Blitzwing mold. I would have liked to see a pic of Whirl,my guess is the pic will come in a few days or at SDCC 2013.

2a- Generations Deluxe: •Skids •Waspinator•Dreadwing•Goldfire,all seem like lackluster choices for homage toys,none of these were on my top 30 homage new mold want wish list. I might buy Skids even though he's got a incorrect homage alt mode. Years ago,I got rid of 85% of my BW/BM toys,So i'm not sure if I want this newer Waspinator toy. Goldfire & Dreadwing are easy passes,As I dislike the IDW TF comics & I dislike the 1990's G-2 toys.

2b- Generations 2013/2014 legends: I don't buy 98% of the super tiny TF toys. The only way i'd buy a commander or legends sized TF toys is if it's a combiner. I would have preferred those tiny targetmaster styled bots camed packaged by themselves or in group toys like the Armada Minicons did. or even a gift set of all the newer targetmasters. Clearly "for me" the targetmasters tiny figures are the best part of this duo match up.

3- TFCC 2014 freebie toy & newer subscription figures: These all look more awful/lackluster than the 2013 toys. Not interested in anyb of them.

4- 2013 constructibots: Not interested in any of these,They look awful in both modes. The only saving grace is the beautiful G-1 homage head sculpts,I might buy a few just to swap heads out on other TF toy lines character toys.

5- 2013 SDCC exclusives Transforming TF toys: I'm gonna try really hard to buy SDCC Metroplex,as I love the chrome parts,box & metalic stickers. Not interested in The Shockwave with predaking or am i interested in the 6 inch G-1 Guardians/action masters set.

6- 2013 Store/site exclusives revealed at botcon: I'm getting the Target store exclusive Abonimus gift set,nothing else from target interest me. I'm wondering why the Ultimate predaking has a target logo on the box. Not interested in the Predaking reissue,I rather buy one of those 3RD party not-predaking toys instead. i'm 50/50 about platinium Ultra magnus. Platinum grimlock VS Bruticus is a huge colored disappointment,easy pass-----> almost 7 color variations & STILL NO FOC VORTEX IN HIS G-1 1985 GREY HOMAGE COLORS.

7- I noticed some TF toys were absent from botcon 2013. Like the Beast wars Megatron voyager using the FOC Grimlock mold. the 2 recently revealed TFP/BH Weaponizers redecos of optimus & Bumblebee.

The terrorcon deluxes don't have their combiner pegs. They can't combine into a big abominus. That would literally be the only reason to bite on these, and hasbro shot themselves in the foot.

Personally,I feel that Generations 30th deluxe Waspinator didn't need to get created. As Waspinator received a decently cartoon accurate 1996 deluxe toy. Waspinator also received several upgraded toys like his TM1 toy,His BW II retooled toy,almost a dozen repaints & Lastly that TF Animated 2009 deluxe sized toy. I WOULD HAVE PREFERRED THESE 30 TOY SLOTS BE USED WISELY INSTEAD OF WASTED ON CHARACTER toys that already received countless new molds,repaints & retools. To add coal to the fire all of Waspinators new molds/repaints/retools have super poseable robot modes. THE TF CHARACTER TOYS THAT RECEIVED NEXT TO NONE POSEABILTY OR LIMITED POSEABILTY SHOULD be top on the list to get new mold homage toys.
