New Wal-mart listing reveal newer TF Generations,BH & BS

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

New Wal-mart listing reveal newer TF Generations,BH & BS toys.
http://tformers.com/transformers-wal-ma ... /news.html

Walmart.com has some new listings for upcoming Beast Hunters and Bot Shots toys that just might be of interest!
TRA PRIME VOYAGER BEAST MEGATRON
TRA PRIME CV AUTOBOT DRILLER
TRA PRIME DELUXE PROWL
TRG GEN AUTOBOT VOYG SANDSTORM
TRA BS 5 PK PROTECTOBOTS
TRA BS 5 PK COMBATICONS

TFP/BH Voyager sized Beast Megatron is interesting. This is no doubt the FOC Voyager Grimlock test shot toy with the BW megatron styled head we saw weeks ago on-line. I'm wondering if this will be a show toy or off-show toy. Personally I think it would be a bad idea to have the current TFP Megatron upgrade into this Dinosaur form,As it would take away TFP Megatron fast arriving/run away jet mode. Having This TFP Megatron turn into a dinosaur seems like a beatial down grade,as the insecticons are viewed as mindless beast on the TFP cartoon series. AT LEAST THE FOC GRIMLOCK TOY GETS POINTS FOR BEING A CROSS-OVER TOY,THAT CROOSED OVER GROM THE GENERATIONS TOY LINE INTO THE TFP/BH TOY LINE. Some might argue that FOC is in TFP/BH universe so it's not a true cross-over toy.

If any Recent TF toy crossed-over TF toy lines,I wanted it to be the Voyager sized Thundertron toy. I wanted this toy to cross-over into the Generations toy line as certain characters repaints/retools like 1986 Razorclaw,1989 Victoryleo,BW II Lio Convoy, with newer colors, newer heads & newer weapons/accessories.

I think BH Deluxe prowl is a awesome idea, hopefully he makes it into the season 3 cartoon series.

Generations Voyager Sandstorm in looking forward to buying. Because it's using the Springer mold which is a great molf. this gives me a chance to get a double of a already decent mold. I like how drastic this retool is,the newer colors look great on this toy.

Bot Shots I still view as wastes of plastic & lame-o. Had these tiny toys at least had been super poseable, they might have had more interest with more fans. I noticed USA retail stores don't carry these in the higher volume they did last year. Hopefully these Bot shots suffer the fate of Kreo, where USA chain stores refuse to order them. Last year was a pure nightmare,As pegs were chock full of un-wanted Bot Shots toys, which caused most USA chain stores to restock less frequent on the TFP Deluxes, commanders in 2012.

I'm hoping Ultra Magnus makes it into the season 3 of TFP/BH. Love to see either the 2001 RID or 2008 Animated Ultra Magnus Persona clash heads with Optimus & everyone else.

As far as the TFP/BH season 3 is concerned,I'm hoping that Ultra Magnus & the 5 G-1/FOC Dinobots show up in the final epic episodes & save the day. I don't care if the other 4 dinobots don't get toys. lets just have them in TFP/BH season 3 fighting & saving the autobots/day.

Just quick thoughts on some of them:
TRA PRIME VOYAGER BEAST MEGATRON

Huh, that's interesting, putting it out in TFPrime instead of Generations. Might look into it, but the reception on this mold has been lukewarm, so.
TRA PRIME DELUXE PROWL
This is likely a repaint of Smokescreen, especially given that that mold allegedly has a divot that would let them stick a lightbar on top. Might give it different armor too, that could be cool.
TRG GEN AUTOBOT VOYG SANDSTORM
Making Broadside the last Triple-Changer left. He'd be nice to see, I won't lie.
TRA BS 5 PK PROTECTOBOTS
TRA BS 5 PK COMBATICONS
Are Bot Shots popular? Stores seem to be carrying the hell out of them, and they're the sort of thing the kiddos like these days, I guess. I know some people dig 'em, but they aren't for me, even if I can appreciate the nice modified rock/paper/scissors game meta. I might buy the Sunstorm I've seen around just to add to my meager Sunstorm collection.

Depends on which group/site of on-line TF fans you read replies from in threads. The other TF sites with forums I read Love this (BH Voyager Beastial Megatron toy) & think it's the greatest thing ever.

Repaints are necessary due to the high cost of the new mold creation process. Getting a BW megatron using this FOC Grimlock mold is leaps & bounds better than getting a over-kill repaint.

That was my solid guess as well. Since we get so many retools/repaints based off these characters using the same molds in the past. my guess is Takara or asia will milk this mold further by doing a blue/silverstreak repaint/retool.

Sandstorm is not the last Tripple changer left that finally got a new mold. Their is still 1986 Broadside that has yet to receive a brand new update mold. Then their is still the Two 1987 Horrocons tripple changers that need a new mold. Their is also the tripple changer 1988 Double dealer that needs a need mold.

These Bot shots toys are the worse thing ever, they don't sell that fast in my areas local stores running from a 50 miles top 5 chain stores hunts range. Last year, these Bots Shots toys warmed pegs so badly they prevented stores from ordering other assortments like commanders & deluxes. because most stores looked at bot shots not selling & lost faith in re-ordering other assortment waves sizes.
I HATE THOSE BOT SHOTS,THEY HAVE ALMOST NO POSEABILTY,ONE FLIP STEP TRANSFORMATION,SUPER TINY & OVER SIZED PROPORTIONS LIVE A DELUXE HEAD ON A LEGENDS SIZED ROBOT TOY BODY.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing Broadside either. I still think we're a ways down the list before we start getting new versions of the Headmasters and Powermasters though. Although we did get an update of a couple of Pretenders already so what do I know?

Yeah, I wasn't quite sure what was going on there either. I may slip on my Freud occasionally, but I thought I had gotten that one right.

Anyway, Tigs, it's worth noting that when I say 'Triple Changers', I'm particularly referring to the '86 guys, the three Autobots and the three Decepticons. I generally think of the Horrorcons as their own mutually exclusive subgroup from 'The Triple-Changers', and Doubledealer is just Doubledealer.

A couple of Pretenders using the same mold! And then Botcon used it for yet another Pretender! And it's been shown that it would work great for Pretender Starscream! That mold is freakishly Pretender-universal.

Yeah I'm the same way. When I think "triple changers" I'm thinking of the six that had that and only that as their gimmick. The later ones were Headmasters so I group them with that and Doubledealer is a Powermaster.

I was actually referring to both Thunderwing and Skullgrin. And I forgot about Metalhawk and Black Shadow? So yeah, there's a few Pretenders there.

I'd like to see a new Deluxe-mould fire truck, for real. There's a fair few fire truck guys who could use it (Hosehead/Cab, Hot Spot in my opinion) and the Universe Inferno mould is getting tiresome.

As much as I really really like the Universe Inferno mold (simply as a 'G1 update', it's one of the best things Hasbro has ever produced), I agree that this would be a benefit. Hell, new molds for any of the Masterforce guys, especially the Headmaster Jrs, would be sweet.

Okay, we'd probably get Nightbeat before we got Minerva, but I wouldn't really complain.

Sure, we're more likely to get the US versions first, but are you telling me that at least Takara wouldn't repaint them? Let alone Hasbro. (Although I could see them cheating and calling it "Rescue Force Nightbeat" or something like that.)

New-character redecos are so outside the norm these days, it's crazy.

You've got a point though, Black Shadow setting all the precedent in the world on that one. Given what they did with Cyclonus I wonder if Hasbro would actually recreate the Headmaster gimmick.
