My comments below: Wow,It looks like 2013 is gonna be a awesome TF toy year. I love the bigger TF toys & there's so many this year.
My favorites & the ones I going to buy is as follows:
1- Generations titan sized Metroplex,
2- Kreon combiners Defensor,Abonimus & Piranacon
3- 2013 TFP Voyager size Ultra Magnus & Platinum edition Weaponizers Ultra magnus.
4- Beast Hunters Supreme sized Predaking
5-Beasthunters Voyager sized Shockwave
6- Generations Voyager sized tripple changers Springer & Blitzwing
7- Beasthunters Voyager sized Grimwing
8- Hasbro TRU MP Soundwave with the 5 cassette/bots.
9- TFP/Beasthunters Target store exclusive legends Terrorcons/Abonimus gift set.
10- I may or may not buy some of the TF Construct-bots. I have to find out what size level these toys are when pieced together. Thus far I only plan on buying tripple changer Blitzwing & that big Megatron Tank/bot. If Megatron is voyager or ultra or leader sized then I'll buy it. If blitzwing is voyager or ultra or leader sized then i'll buy it. I am not buying any basic sized or deluxe sized toys in this line.
Further detailed comments: Metroplex looks like a home run & a must get toy. The designers really did their best to add as much adult aimed detail in the sculpt. I'm impressed, this is truly a update metroplex toy worthy of buying.
I'm hoping those pics of Grimlock verse Bruticus,Has the combaticon in 1985 homage colors. I really need a FOC Generations Vortex in dark grey colors & a FOC Blastoff in dark Chocolate brown+black+dark purple colors. it would be nice to get a FOC Onslaught with those gold stickers highlights that the 1985 toy had.
Those 2013 Generations Tripple changers for springer & Blitzwing seem to be done right & are decent 1980's homages. WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE TRIPPLE CHANGER ASTROTRAIN LISTING THAT APPEARED ON-LINE LAST WEEK,HOPEFULLY THIS WILL GET RELEASED IN 2013 ALSO.
Some of the 2013 Beasthunters Voyager look really nice like shockwave, ultra magnus, grimwing. Grimwing is said to be a bear+bird fuzor type Mystical creature. Shockwave seems like a must get.
Three more Kreon combiners for 2013,Defensor,Piranaking & Abonimus. for $9.99,I'll buy them as novelty items. Hopefully these will spark interest in Hasbro/fans to create more bigger sized combiners in the bigger scale sizes.
Supreme sized Beasthunters Predaking looks detailed & great in both modes. I'll be buying this.
I won't be buying the Beast Hunters Supreme sized Optimus Prime. However I do love the toys huge powerful weapons & accessories. IS IT JUST ME OR THIS THIS MOLD LOOK LIKE A SLIGHT HOMAGE TO 1991 Takara TF "Return of Convoy/Battle stars" Star convoy.

The IDW toy for Generations Megatron should have been Voyager sized. I guess it doesn't matter as that IDW Megatron looks ZERO like Megatron anyways. the only thing that ries to homage megatron in that design is the robot head sculpt. This design/toy looks like a Alternators Transformer as only the robot head homges the 1980's TF character & the rest of the body looks ZERO like the TF character.
I'm going to be buying Generations Deluxe sized Trailcutter. As It looks like a decent 1980's TF homage.
Kinda odd/weird that Hasbro is now adding minicon/targetmasters partners with some of their 2013 Generations smaller scaled toys. The weird/odd part is that Hasbro refused to give buyers the Transformers prime Targemasters tiny partners that came packaged with the Japanese Takara TF Prime toys versions.
It looks like Hasbro got rid of the Mech tech weapons for the 2013 TF Prime Voyager sized toys. The 2012 TFP Voyagers each came with a mech tech styled weapon.
2013 is the year of the Ultra Magnus,as he's getting 3+toys released this year. I kinda wish Hasbro would have made a trailer that broke up intio armor pieces for either the TFP 2013 Voyager or 2013 Weaponizers ultra Magnus toys.
With the 2013 TF toy year being saturated with so many Dragon/bot TF toys. I can certainly see the CHINA GDO Aian market & TFCC having loads of fun repainting these toys into dozens of 1980's,BW,BM,Cybertron toy lines Dragon/bots homage toys.
The Beast hunters Predacons faction symbol logo looks like the 1990 Japanese Takara Brave toy line faction symbol logo that Dino-geist & his evil Dinosaurs wore in the brave 1990 cartoon series/toy line/magazine comics.

Thread update: Hasbro has updated with hundreds of their official pics. most important these official pics are bigger, clearer, have a better back ground & SHOW METROPLEX'S HUGE CITY MODE.

I think the most interesting thing about these Hasbro official pics,is that they have a Kreon micro-changer for Technobot Nosecone. So I assume that a Kreon combiner Computron is planned & Nosecone is the 5th team member that is sold seperately in those individual mystery Kreon bags packs. My guess is Kreon Combiner Menasaor is on it's way & so might Kreon Combiner Monstructor. Hasbro might as well complete & do all the 1980's TF G-1 USA combiners for Kreon.

Re: 2013 Hasbro NYC toyfair discussion thread with tons of p
Bro, I'm sorry, it's just not gonna happen. Hasbro's Comic-Con release and Takara's release are as close as you're going to get, and those are just in colors accurate to the game because...that's what the mold is based on. They've already repainted the thing way too many times, and making *another* version that just tweaks the colors to look like the G1 cartoon is really not in the cards.Tigermegatron wrote:I'm hoping those pics of Grimlock verse Bruticus,Has the combaticon in 1985 homage colors. According to Hasbro reps at Toyfair (or the media event parallel to Toyfair, or whatever) the 'Astrotrain' that appeared on that listing was actually just a placeholder name for the Blitzwing we saw. So yeah.WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE TRIPPLE CHANGER ASTROTRAIN LISTING THAT APPEARED ON-LINE LAST WEEK,HOPEFULLY THIS WILL GET RELEASED IN 2013 ALSO.
They didn't actually 'refuse' to give us anything, as the Arms Microns were produced separately by Takara after Hasbro finished the TFPrime molds. Besides, Hasbro's toys actually had PAINT on them, so I think the deal worked out okay.Kinda odd/weird that Hasbro is now adding minicon/targetmasters partners with some of their 2013 Generations smaller scaled toys. The weird/odd part is that Hasbro refused to give buyers the Transformers prime Targemasters tiny partners that came packaged with the Japanese Takara TF Prime toys versions.
Anyway, on the actual toys...holy shit, what a Toyfair, guys! I made a sound that was not of this earth when I saw Blitzwing. Then again when we found out he's got swappable faces (the TFA style face will let him look great next to RTS Lugnut and ROTF Lockdown). Springer...I was telling Six, Springer actually looks TOO GOOD. That toy just looks in-fucking-credible. It's a triple-changing Springer, and his two altmodes actually look like *two different altmodes*! And his robot mode looks awesome, with an amazing face-sculpt and a bitchin' sword. The dune-buggy-ness of the car mode makes me figure they plan to remold this into Sandstorm later too, so that's something to look forward to. Goddamn, they're actually making a toy of IDW 'Stealth Bomber' Megatron?! I know I was just talking about wanting this over in the comic thread, but I didn't think it would actually *happen*! I don't even care that he's just a Deluxe, he looks sick, he's got his bigass fusion cannon, and they're actually making a toy of this thing! The mind reels! Ditto for Ongoing Bumblebee, that's a design I never would've thought would get made! I'll have to wait for more looks at him since from what I can tell it seems he might have a lot of fake parts, but for now I can just be impressed that he exists. Thrice-ditto for Orion Pax, it's amazing that legit IDW designs are getting produced as toys and sold alongside their comic books (this is a partnership that could work out well for both companies), and I hope it leads to more comic-based toys getting produced in the future.
I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Metroplex...what is there to say, really? This thing is huge, it looks ridiculously detailed (love the little cockpit right below his head), and while the 'base mode' is kinda eh, the carrier mode looks pretty sweet and should provide a great base of operations for my various Legends-class jets. If I can save up enough to money at once to buy this ridiculous thing. And if I can find some place to *put it* in my apartment (seriously, this thing's apparently finally going to beat out Fort Max as 'biggest TF ever'?). There's also the possibility that Hasbro might redeco it as Metrotitan for a running change later.
The Beast Hunters shit is looking pretty awesome, love the hugeass Predaking, love the hugeass Orky Prime (even though I kinda want the Voyager version that's out any day now as well), love Grim Wing, wish we'd seen more about Abominus.
Goddamn, guys! Goddamn Toyfair!

I wasn't aware Blitzwing had multiple swapping faces. I saw the first face & got dissapointed. then hours later when the Hasbro official pics arrived,I saw the G-1 Styled face & got excited. I figured it had various faces like the animated toy version from 2008.BWprowl wrote:

My money is on Takara or E-hobby recoloring this toy in Metrotitan colors. I don't think Hasbro would do This recolor because Metrotitan was a Decepticon. Also not that many USA Buyers know who Metrotitan is/was.
I wondering if GrimWing is a good guy or a bad guy. He'll probably end up being a bad guy. I figured since he's not a dragon he might be good.
It'll be another repaint for FOC Bruticus,So it could be anything. I'm hoping it's in 1985 colors because the toy line banner it's being placed in has a G-1 theme. Grimlock is getting vacumized gold chrome to make it more 1985,so anything is possible. I just want a dark grey FOC Vortex.

I'm glad most of this is coming in the fall.
If I don't seem excited, it's because I already gushed about it on all my social media yesterday.

Hey, not many USA Buyers knew who Black Shadow was, but that didn't stop them. Ditto Longrack way back in Cybertron, actually. Also not that many USA Buyers know who Metrotitan is/was.
Nah, he's a dragon, just like all the other Predacons. The description of his character makes him sound like a Dinobot 2.0, with the implication being that he'll betray the Predacons and go over to the Autobots.I wondering if GrimWing is a good guy or a bad guy. 70% of the TF stuff shown at Hasbro's TF toyfair 2013 should all be on USA store shelves/sites before July 2013Onslaught Six wrote:I'm glad most of this is coming in the fall.
About the only things shown at the NYC 2013 TF toy fair that gets released this fall are the last two waves of Generations & Last wave or two of Beast Hunters. Which totals about 25% of what was shown at the Hasbro NYC 2013 TF toy fair.
Usually Toys released around the last weeks of November & December of any year,Are early/pre next years toys. This is done because the Christmas season months have the most buyers. This is also done because January & February of any year are known as the DEAD/extremely low profit sales months in America. Because most parents over buy during christmas & don't re-buy newer stuff for the next 2-4 months for the kiddies. March & onward kicks up the buying sales by customers due to them getting there yearly state & government tax returns money.
Anything new TF that appears on USA Store shelves/sites,will be stuff we've never seen before that wasn't shown at Hasbro's NYC 2013 toy fair. This will all be early/pre 2014 NEWER TF toys. Most likely Botcon 2013 in July Might show a few newer toys that USA stores/sites stock on shelves november/december 2013. SDCC 2013 & NYCC 2013 will show newer TF toys that will be stocked on USA stores/sites in november/december 2013 & onward thru 2014.
2013 Generations Titan sized Metroplex,Supreme TF Prime Optimus & Supreme TF Prime Predaking will PROBABLY be released in USA stores/sites around the last week of July/early August 2013. Because this is always the month Hasbro USAV releases it's beyond huge newer TF toy. It's the perfect release date,as this kicks off the early buying christmas season time frame. This also guarantees USA stores will stock this item in decent numbers for the Christmas buying season months. as most USA stores adjust there shelves designs diagrams for the christmas season months. Hasbro has the release of huge TF toys down to a science----release them too early in the year & kids/stores don't buy them/over stock them for the christmas season months. release them to late into the christams season months & stores don't over order them due to the shelves diagrams already being adjusted for christmas season months weeks/months before.

1- Obsecure smaller sized/lower Priced TF toys in America sell better than obsecure bigger/exspenisive ones sell. Hasbro would never take the risk of changing the colors, faction & persona of a $125+ TF toy(Generations Titan sized $125+ Metroplex) & try to sell it in america stores/site,Especially in this bad economy.BWprowl wrote:Are you...trying to imply that Hasbro doesn't make toys of Decepticons?Tigermegatron wrote:My money is on Takara or E-hobby recoloring this toy in Metrotitan colors. 2- GrimWing is not a dargon-bot,it's a Mystical creature fuzor, that has a Bear & bird mode fuzed together.
3- I estimated this GrimWing toy might have started off as a bad guy in the cartoon then switched sides to the good guys in the cartoon. All of the beast-bots in FOC/TFP are Shockwaves creations,so it makes sense for them to start off their lives bad, then later on choose there own good or bad paths.

Re: 2013 Hasbro NYC toyfair discussion thread with tons of p
Anyone else notice that they were no toys shown for 2013 TF Prime Megatron & the TFP Vehicons at the Hasbro NYC TF toy fair. It would be strange not to give TFP Megatron a newer toy in 2013,maybe he'll get a newer alt mode & robot re-design. Maybe TFP Megatron in 2013 might get a $29.99 Weaponizers toy.
Weird/odd how Hasbro didn't feel the need to make any newer Vehicons toys for the BH/TFP toy line in 2013. Fans & buyers in the USA loved buying those Vehicons toys in 2012,they were high priority must get TF toys.
With no 2013 toys for TFP/BH Megatron & the Vehicons,Hopefully this doesn't mean that they die & get replaced with others robots. My guess is that since the Vehicons were drones perhaps this role is now taken over by the Predacons dragon-bots who act as either drones or low intelligence bots. Maybe Shockwave or Predaking takes over leadership of the Decepticons in TFP/BH season 3 in 2013.
Side note: TFP/BH 2013 Voyager Shockwave's forearms design looks like optimus & megatrons. I guess we can start calling this the generic/house stype forearms for the TFP toy line.

Re: 2013 Hasbro NYC toyfair discussion thread with tons of p
Metroplex.... Wow. That has to be one of the coolest Transformers I have ever seen. The level of detail in insane. Very nice update on the character. And awesome that they made him a new Titan class figure. I'd love to see some comparison shots to get a better idea of the scale next to some other Transformers.
Very cool they're making some Generations figures based on the IDW designs. Stealth Bomber Megatron in particular looks very nice. Little disappointed it's only a deluxe but at least they're making it. Orion Pax and Bumblebee are also pretty nice looking figures.
Blitzwing and Springer are awesome! Nice to see triple changers that look so good in all 3 of their forms. Seems a little odd they gave Blitzwing a face changing gimmick like in Animated though for such a G1 inspired mold.
Very nice that MP Soundwave will come with 5 cassettes.
Some interesting stuff with the Prime Beast Hunters line as well. Ratchet's new look reminds me of Dinobot from Beast Wars, mixing in some elements from both the original and his clone. Surprised Dreadwing is getting a new figure, seeing as he died in the show.
Overall, very nice showing for Transformers this year. Great to see so many surprises and great looking figures.

I kinda doubt the majority of this will be out that early. September and October are generally pretty big months for new product, as that's when they want to get stuff out in time for the Holiday season.Tigermegatron wrote:70% of the TF stuff shown at Hasbro's TF toyfair 2013 should all be on USA store shelves/sites before July 2013
Not seeing where you're seeing a bear in the figure.
