Does all the Fans crying & negativity comments reach Hasbro?

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

Does all the Fans crying & negativity comments reach Hasbro?

Post by Tigermegatron »

Does all the Fans crying & negativity comments on all the top 5 TF Moderated message forums reach Hasbro?

Examples: Fans crying & getting bent out of shape over TF toys being smaller, lighter & less bulky in their size classes.

Examples: Fans crying they hate micheal bay & all the movie-verse TF toy designs.

I say no,these fans who cry,beg & post all those negativity comments in the OCD Repeative ways on all the TF Moderated forums are a embarassment to the fandom they exist in. Hasbro & it's crew proably laugh at these fans & call them man-childs. This is why I suspect Hasbro hates going to Botcon & does/reveals less at botcon with every passing year.

Hasbro isn't going to listen to a bunch of 30 years olds+ guys that throw temper tantrums on the top 5 internet TF forums message boards. repeat themselves in the OCD levels, troll, post hateful negative comments in the over excess amounts, call hasbro insults & so forth.

So,no I don't think any of this works. In fact hasbro listens less, reads less TF moderated forums. then Hasbro makes stuff they want

So why do you constantly complain and post that you want Masterpiece Sixshot?

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

Hasbro has often shown interest in getting input from the fans though various means in the past, and still do with things like the annual Hall of Fame vote. Heck, Aaron Archer used to post frequently at TFW2005 several years ago, until some other sites complained that it was showing favoritism. It wouldn't surprise me if some people from Hasbro still check out some of the bigger TF sites upon occasion for some input.

Yes, Hasbro listens to fans, and one way they do that is to view the various forums out there. They have said as much in the past, and even given direct feedback at conventions based on fan comments from those boards. That said, they do take what fans say on forums and put it in a specific place, it's not the ONLY thing they listen to, and they are aware that not only are the fans merely a vocal minority, but sometimes the noisiest of fans can sway an otherwise non-issue. They're still a business and need to make decisions which keep the brand going in the mainstream eye, which means raising prices and lowering production costs whenever possible to avoid the brand folding.

I think you are viewing the fandom and its message through a specific lens, seeing only the worst of it. I would strongly disagree that it's the only thing being said, there are positive messages as well and thoughtful complaints as much as there is angry noise. Hasbro reveals less every year at the conventions because Hasbro has been retreating on Transformers to a core brand with a much smaller range of releases - Voyagers are now down to 4 waves per year, as I discussed with them at Comic-Con - so anything beyond 2 or 3 waves in the future is giving intel on waves that haven't even finished the process yet. Hasbro is trying to grow the brand through alternate means, through Bot Shots and KreO, both of which had decent amounts of intel shown at Comic-Con.

You can see it however you like, but consider that your lens will to a degree determine your reality. I see the fandom as having some affect but not being a controlling interest, and I act from there.

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

Hasbro clearly says at various conventions & on-line Q & A's.that their main target audience for the Transformers toys are kids under the ages of 9. Hasbro also said they estimate adult fans make up barely 5% in TF toy buying sales.

I honestly think at one point almost a decade ago, Hasbro did read all the Fan sites forums looking for input to please the fans.

However these days/years,TF fans on the internet have beome noticeably more mean, trolling, flame bait. a big chunk of on-line TF fans have even taken their OCD behavior into hacking other fans accounts. Hasbro isn't stupid or unaware of all of this, they norice everything that goes on with all these moderated TF forums. Hasbro isn't going to listen for TF toy/media input from the cyber bullies, trolls & flame baiters. I'd wager there are now less non-troll/non-cyber bullies/non-cyber bullies out their on the TF forums.

Some internet TF forum trolls, think if they repeat the same negaitivity over & over, this will make hasbro take notice. I wager this has the oppossite reaction from hasbro. Hasbro & crew leave more TF forums boards & make TF decisions on their own. Hasbro isn't going to take TF toy/media advice from adult fans that act like toddlers or trolls on the TF forums. Why please the trolls when they offer nothing positive to society.

The reason Hasbro doesn't reveal that much TF stuff at Botcon's convention. is because they hate & despise the TFCC/Funpub scalper ruthles owners & all the fans that scalp the botcon TF toys on ebay. Also most of the TF fans who post all that negativity on the TF moderated forums go to botcon's conventions & complain in the over extremes, this makes Hasbro hate more fans & pull away from getting fan input on the internet & at conventions.
