NOTE: Yes, Dom, obviously I should get over my prejudices against certain story contexts and bla bla bla I'm just not invested, is all. I do hope it's well written and doesn't let you down.

As bland as I feel the story itself is (though it doesn't go really downhill until later installments) you may want to give the first couple arcs of Furman's IDW run a look, Gomess. 'Infiltration' and 'Escalation' both feature the ideas of vehicular disguises and Aliens Among Us and so forth very prominently, and are at least *decent* stories, for what Furman was worth at the time. Might be up your alley. I've got the Infitration trade, and I'm not doing anything with it, maybe I'll send it to you for something, if you'd like.

Seriously though, do we know yet what we're doing about the acronym for this series? I've been trying to make the distinction that RiD with a little 'i' is the Car Robots dub, while RID in ALL CAPS is the new ongoing, but there's no way we can keep that appropriately consistent. This was a stupid idea, IDW!
