I bought Batman: Year One. I'm the biggest whore you know.

Nope. I've got that one in a hardcover deal with "Dark Knight Returns" and "Santa Claus: Wanted Dead or Alive" or something. Frank Miller Batman used to be really, really good.

Now if you'd bought "Year Two", you'd be the biggest whore I know.

I do plan to get The Long Halloween eventually. I've eyed it for literally a year. It's only twenty bucks! And I've spent that on way stupider things!

Alright, I've gotten a bunch of stuff in the last few days that I've failed to report out of...utter negligence and laziness, I guess. So, a rundown:

ROTF Ejector
ROTF Jolt
Action Master Skyfall
Treadshot's gun
Universe Sunstorm with Perceptor
Energon High Wire with Kicker #4
Batman the Brave and the Bold Aquaman (A gift from a friend last night. If you've seen the cartoon, you know that B&B Aquaman is the greatest thing ever.)

Thoughts on...some of those things...eventually...

Scalpel. Bought him while looking for vacuum belts, the ROTF deluxes were entirely Wheelies with a few Chromias (I mean a fully stocked wall of Wheelies). Couldn't find Ejector, so I got the Doctor. Tried to open him in the car and legs went everywhere. What a piece of crap! This is the first time I've ever felt like describing something as "falls apart when you look at it." I could only find 5 legs, I searched my car for the sixth and it's like it vanished. I'm wondering if the little bastard only came with 5 legs. :x I'd hate to see someone give this shoddy piece of junk to a child. I'll post thoughts after I vacuum.

...Jetfire.

He's...He's as bad as he looks, I'm pretty sure. Cruddy back kibble. Gun is hard to get it to clip onto his back. Haven't tried to transform or combine him yet, will do so tomorrow maybe or sometime later this week. Hopefully it won't suck too bad and I won't feel like I wasted my money.

I mean, I can barely get him to stand. His kibble is too fiddly and gets in the way of itself way too much. Maybe I'm being hard on him--but I feel like maybe I haven't done that enough lately. I've been too soft on the ROTF crew, with their kibble and their cruddy removed gimmicks. But no more! Jetfire is where I draw the line.

Aww, that sucks, I really dig him. He takes a good few transformations to get down, though, it's really not an instant-win kinda toy. Doesn't help that the instructs suck, and that he's mistransformed both in and on package, but there's a nifty little insect robot in there somewhere. Hope you find that missing leg!

I got..Nine Inch Nails' Closer single on VINYL. Holy crap, I am still amazed I own this. It's all incredibly valuable and rare and stuff. I shall frame it. Don't even own a record player at the moment (Digging the idea of a USB one, tho'), but I own this, and I am pleased.

Scalpel Update: Found his leg, fiddled him into microscope mode. Further examination of the leg sockets reveals that every single one of them is split or broken, which is why his legs will not stay in. This does not explain why his antennae fall out everytime you move them or why the top halves of the microscope mode will not stay snapped together under any circumstances. I may actually return this guy to walmart, which is a first

I'm really torn on this guy. I had a friend driving me around town, letting me pick out my birthday gifts from him today. So I could have got him for free-- I looked at him... and STILL passed. I opted for a Pit Commando and Dark Sideways instead. I know some people really like Scalpel, but there seem to be just as many who hate the little bugger.
I disappear.
