IDW "Combiner Wars" comic discussion and speculation

The modern comics universe has had such a different take on G1, one that's significantly represented by the Generations toys, so they share a forum. A modern take on a Real Cybertronian Hero. Currently starring Generations toys, IDW "The Transformers" comics, MTMTE, TF vs GI Joe, and Windblade. Oh wait, and now Skybound, wheee!

On a related note, a guy at the comic shop suggested that it might have been in the new "Infinite Crisis" series. Of course, he sold through on the early issues (and I did not keep my copies). If I hit a few shops on FCBD, I might try to find copies. On the other hand, I cannot believe I am feeding in to an OCD fixation on "teh pruuuf" over a passing comment.
Right, that's the shady part, that you simply can't remember which comic it was in. It's got nothing to do with you refusing to actually do anything to back up your argument when I'd asked where that quote came from and instead just keep dragging it out like this. And now trying to downplay it as a "throw-away line" when it would mean a pretty significant change to CoIE, by your own suggestion when you originally brought it up.

Infinite Crisis I've got, so let me just take a few minutes... And no, it describes CoIE exactly as it was: That the Anti-Monitor tried to destroy the multiverse until only 5 universes remained, and they were all folded into one universe. It doesn't say anything about a "partial collapse".

You are saying it is "shady" that I cannot recall where I read something? Really?

No, that was sarcasm. I'm saying it's shady you refuse to back up your argument.

Because I can obviously get an exact quote when I cannot remember where I saw it. Of course, I am so dastardly.

What happened to "it's either Multiversity or Final Crisis"? That's why you're coming off so dubiously, you keep back-sliding on your statements. If you can't remember where you even saw the quote, are you sure they actually said it on page in the first place?

Well, we ruled out "Multiversity". I found my copy of "Final Crisis", but have not yet read through it. I expended it to the "Infinite Crisis" game tie-in, which you ruled out. LIke I said, I cannot recall where I saw the reference. I am just not sure how it is shady for me to forget where I saw something, and not be able to get an exact quote from the thing that I clearly cannot recall.

How many times do I have to say it's how you've handled this discussion that's shady. You've acted like you've been trying to avoid finding any such reference and back-peddling on points, making it seem like it doesn't exist, not that you simply can't remember where you saw it.

Infinite Crisis game tie-in? You'd said the Infinite Crisis series earlier. Besides, the game wouldn't be "on page" or canon with the comics.

None of this matters!

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

It makes a difference to the story, so it does matter if you're interested in that.
