I think it runs by a limit of one vote in 24 hours. So when did you vote yesterday? If you check back after that time today, you should be able to vote again.

Man, I am all over the place on this one. I've voted 3 times and each for a different bot: 1 BW Megs, 1 Hot Rod, and 1 Mangus.

I had the same thing, used a different browser since I actually hadn't voted that day (it was probably 20 hours prior which was the delay), hoped for the best.

In looking over my last year's votes, I'm not sure I feel similarly at all anymore so I'm going to refrain from voting right away. Here's what I had last year...

1. Mirage
2. Brawn
3. Devastator
4. Ravage
5. Jetfire

... and honestly I don't know that I'd put Mirage up so high anymore, I am definitely conflicted and I probably have MTMTE to blame for this. I figure it's the comic's fault because my first instinct was to replace Mirage with Swerve, which is bugnuts for Hall of Fame.

1. Metroplex. I think it's time there was a cityformer in there somewhere and Metroplex has featured very prominently in both the video games and comics and the recent 30th anniversarry titan class figure makes him the perfect candidate of the citybots for induction.

2. Devastator. I also think there should be a combiner in there and since Devy has been in both ROTF and featured prominently in the comics, he seems the most likely one.

3. Sky Byte. Because RID and since Hasbro is pretty much just going to auto induct most of G1, that frees us up to focus on other parts of the franchise. And I choose Sky-byte to represent RID.

4. Tankor (Beast Machines). For the same reasons as Sky Byte, just applied to BM.

5. Lockdown. I wanted to get a character from more recent in the franchise and since Lockdown was in both Animated and the upcoming Age of Extinction, he seemed appropriate.

Here's my list.

1. Barricade - because
2. Lockdown - Same above; he's officially a Movie Guy and he's been in every form of media that's mattered since his introduction, with the exception of Prime.
3. Jetfire - Why not?
4. Devastator - Because Devastator
5. Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime - Still shocked that he's not in there. (He isn't, right?)

BTW, something I didn't bother to note in the other thread, but once we turn in our polls, the voting will be on FACEBOOK so um... sucks, but at least you can't say it'll be easily spammed.

I had the same thought, "how the hell is he not on there? Is he not on there?" And he's not, I double-checked. I think they had a display for him at the 2011 or last year's Botcon in case he won, but at the last minute he didn't win.

1. BlackArachnia
- The first regular female TF (Arcee had sporadic appearances in G1 season 3). Female representation in this franchise is generally poor, but Blackarachnia benefited from being presented as her own person first. She was introduced as a sultry bad girl, but grew beyond that into something of an anti-hero and then full-fledged Maximal. While other fembots were defined by their boyfriends, Silverbolt was undeniably the Princess to BA's Mario (especially when you get to BM).

2. Arcee
- The most well-known fembot and one of the first. Over the decades, she's gone from being a minor character in G1 defined almost solely by her gender and given little to do, to being one of the main characters of TFP, arguably the star of season 1, and defined by her abilities. I'm tempted to say her development over the decades is a mirror for our own real-world social progress. But that's another discussion.

3. Optimus Primal
- He fills the standard leader role that all Optimi do, but he has a certain charisma and laid back charm about him that sets him apart. "Sometimes crazy works," he says. He headlined 5 seasons of the beast era, reviving the TF franchise on our TV sets.

4. Cheetor
- No other kid appeal character has gone through so much development. Over the course of 5 seasons, we see Cheetor grow from a naive idiot cub to a mature adult and future leader. His growth reflects the growth of the audience who, likewise, grew older and more mature (we hope) over the course of those 5 years.

5. Sky-Byte
- The real star of RiD. Sky-Byte is often credited as the main reason to watch RiD. He's a lovable failure as a bad guy, but his love of poetry and his knack for singing and all his other quirky traits keeps us cheering for him to try again.

6. KnockOut
- Easily the breakout character of TFP. KnockOut is a self-absorbed narcissist and played wonderfully by Daran Norris.


Yeah, I picked 6. It was hard enough narrowing it down this far.

My votes:

-Mirage: Important in early episodes of the cartoon.

-Swerve: Recent breakout character.

-Barricade: Most significant Bayformer (and Bayformers matters).

-Metroplex: An enduring character, despite getting punked in all of his original appearances (US cartoon and UK comic).

-Cheetor: I buy in on Crab's logic (in the other thread) and am getting over my disdain for the beast years.



Random thoughts:

Tankor: Nor sure if Rhinox effectively nullifies this. (At least one iteration of Tankorr is not Rhinox, and that is assuming that they are talking about the Cybertronian tank guy, not the triple-changer.)

Knockout: Has the character been used after "Prime"? And, given the "glitch at the factory" comment, does anybody want this character back on Hasbro's radar?

Lockdown: Almost made my cut.
