TF Prime episodes

No noses? No problem! Zombiebots? Sure, why not. A confusing new canon that allows loose and contradictory material? And now a new sequel show with an entirely different art style that takes place way in the future!

Okay, okay, but come on this is way better than energon. The robots actually have facial expressions. And the instances of people moonwalking are way down.

I will disagree. I actually liked Energon and at least they had noses! And yeah, I guess this series is at least properly edited, but that's a pretty low bar to set.

I don't mind the lack of noses. I'm even getting used to Prime's mouth.

Animated and the movies got me used to mouth-Prime, so I'm fine with it here. I don't even mind the lack of noses, since I always kinda wondered why alien robots had noses in the first place.

And Energon is better than this, in my totally-unbiased opinion. Energon was retarded and made no sense, but at least it had *gusto* about making no sense! Prime is all "Yeah, Raf can out-hack Soundwave at the satellite array that he guess where he was on the first try! You're taking this seriously, right? Because this is serious!", while meanwhile, Energon is going "Shoot all the Energon through a wormhole! We'll drive after it! Through space! What's that guy's name? It's my name! Nobody cares, there's a sun or something, but it has Unicron's head in it and Alpha-Q can fly it around! Fuck the police!". Energon was FUN, this is just...bland.

The word I was thinking of to describe Energon also starts with "F". ;)

Still waiting on an answer here. I honestly don't know what "The Hub" is supposed to be. From all I've seen, TF Prime seems to be aimed at "us", sadly. Are kids rushing home from school to watch this (or however kids watch their shows in the States)?

Hard to say. TF Prime has kid human sidekicks, so those are either there to appeal to kids or Hasbro just thinks that we think that a TF show *has* to have those now. And there's stupid stuff like cute science fair subplots, as well as your fair share of disembowelments and grisly deaths. Hence my point that it has an identity crisis.

I'm fairly certain the Hub is aimed at kids. It's an entire network designed to sell toys, after all. Lauren Faust specifically said that her main audience in mind with My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic was young girls, with anyone else watching it being strictly periphery. That said, kids can hardly rush home to watch that one, since it's on *while* they're at school. That's what DVRs are for though, I guess.

it appears that "Prime" is TF having the same mis-branding that "GI Joe" has had for the last few years now. (Actually, one could argue it is worse, as "GI Joe" is rudderless or going in one wrong direction. "Prime" apparently does not even have a set tone or direction.)

HUB is Hasbro's network. I don't know if kids are rushing home to watch it or not.

I think the Hub wants to aim to all audiences "a new network for kids and their families". That would explain the very silly and rather off putting Ratchet/science fair subplot and the grisly violence in the same series. I just don't think they are getting it right with TF.
