Had a craptacular day at work, thanks to all the systems breaking. When the systems break, we have to use phone hardware directly, and that's oodles of un-fun. Fueled myself on excessive caffeine, and boosted off in my lunch break to buy toys and distract myself further.

Animated Jazz is mine.

Man. This is possibly my favourite figure in the line thus far. The combination of racing outfit with 70s kung-fu flick jumpsuit and blaxploitation and headphones.. He's like some kind of pop culture aesthetic gestalt. I love the AniJazz design. Him and his exhaust pipe nunchaku that combine into a three-piece staff. And the headphones! And the jumpsuit! And he turns into Speed Racer! Jazz is at least five flavours of hot buttery awesome and you should go buy him right now.

I don't care that it's 3:44am, toy stores are open somewhere.

Nabbed a couple of trades
Hellblazer: Good Intentions.
Already finished it, kinda meh. I'd have much rather gotten Rake at the Gates of Hell, completing my Ennis run, but sadly they didn't have it.

Also got Black Orchid, which is good so far.

Which one's "Good Intentions"? The title sounds familiar, but I can't place it.

As far as Ennis Hellblazer goes, I love the hell (hah) out of "Dangerous Habits". Especially the bit with the stout.

DC Mini-Mates: Batwoman/The Question- Spotted this pack at the comic shop while comic shopping, and I'll be damned if I can resist blocky lil' SD versions of DC's most lovable lesbians. Cool little figures, not the best-standing toys I've ever had, but neat enough for six bucks. I particularly like that you can 'unmask' both of them, even if the effort it takes to get Bat-Lesbian's whole face off to replace with the extra hair piece makes me wonder why they didn't just include a whole spare head.

I never understood this abbreviation. It basically amounts to the series being titled War With In. Which is stupid. <.<

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

Considering this is the line known as The Trans Formers, I dunno if The War With In is that bad. Heh. Abbreviate it to tWW myself.

Animated Grimlock is mine today, despite O6's warnings against him. To be fair, this is a lovely, lovely design, and that's the figure's saving grace. It's not as functional as it should be in either mode, the weapon was clearly intended to integrate and doesn't, and the robot has static arms. But it looks 'great' and has fantastic colours, so I'm forgiving. Plus, robot dinosaur.
