Huh, weird. Sounds like a materials or manufacturing defect, definitely should try to get the store you bought it from to exchange it.Onslaught Six wrote:Oh, well. I haven't taken him apart, but from the break I can tell that Mindwipe's hips are like...well, they're like a lot of guys, probably why I'm having problems citing a specific example. His hip is connected to a joint that resides inside his crotch, right. Well, the rod that connects to the piece inside his crotch (all one piece of plastic) snapped off. Very odd.
I have had about 3 out of 5 good experiences returning to Hasbro, 1 that netted me something I absolutely didn't want, and 1 that they couldn't guarantee me the item and it was too expensive to risk ($70) so I ended up putting the kibosh on the return. They will send you a return label, or maybe a plastic sheet envelope, so you don't have to pay postage.I would tell them, of course. I just really, really don't trust the guys who work at these Wal-Marts. I've had problems before. I've also never sent anything back to Hasbro directly, so I'd like to try that.
Yeah, I guess so. I get a little OCD about these things.Very true. I mean, admittedly, Hasbro sometimes doesn't seem to put as much effort into answering them, and we've tried before to be all awesome about intriguing and deep questions, and the results have sometimes been underwhelming. I think it's okay if we kind of phone in some questions here or there. I mean, my question there is pretty spoilery and probably will get a generic answer...but it's still something I'm interested in. I mean, I want to see what a G1 Movie Barricade would look like.
Are you saying you've returned BROKEN items that they've shelved, items that you TOLD them were damaged when you returned them? If they're just opened and not damaged, the store will try to sell it as it's standard merchandise.Dom wrote:I see plenty of obviously opened/damaged toys on shelves around here. Hell, I have seen items I have returned, (and in one case, an item I pointed out to an employee after I nearly bought it), on the shelves.
As for reporting problem items already on shelves to employees, that does seem to be a different ball of wax. Since it was made a problem in-store, it's a different situation than a return, I see employees put stuff back on shelves like that too, especially swapped figures that I report. Some of my Star Wars guys have gone to managers only to find product back on shelves the next day. They should be reported to corporate for it.
