What joke? I really did propose to Kim Kardashian!

I mentioned a parody "Keeping up with the Cardassians". But I would need more Cardassian figures to pull it off. And I don't even recall if they made a figure of Zial.

Yeah, he fought Soundwave a few times, and that is awesome. He also once got a hold of Megatron's fusion cannon and promptly shot Megatron with his own damn gun! And...I think he picked up Optimus Prime and threw him the one time, though I forget the circumstances. It was voluntary and all, but stll, picking up a robot that much bigger than he is and tossing him? Might over microchips, indeed. I like Gears, too. Dude was a pretty niftly little toy (at least as good as the other minibots) and he was a cranky bitch. One Autobot says something good, Gears can be counted on to gripe about it. Dude was like the Oscar the Grouch of the Autobots.
Yeah, that's Brawn, he kicks ass in seasons 1 and 2, his death in TFTM is a messed up way to take out a guy like that, basically begging for his life. Brawn, Gears, and Huffer were all portrayed as grouches, it's hilarious stuff, all the non-famous first season minibots are crotchety older guy types.

I'll just address this here, I guess, because I lost track somewhere and don't know where this shit started, but why have there been so many mentions of Kim Kardashian lately? If she's Armenian, I think I can see the Turks' point.
I'm not sure I understand what you mean, but she is Armenian, and the Turks are jerks - they enslaved my great grandmother and her family at the beginning of the 20th century when they took on Greece.

He was making a genocide joke. See, the Turks killed lots of Armenians and.....

;)

And, of course, because there is not much in the way of emotive pictures or footage of the genocide, it is okay to joke about. Uh....

Yeah, it was in poor taste, I'll admit. And upon reflection, I feel like kind of a jerk about it. The whole statement was less a reflection on Armenians and more a reflection on my dislike of reality-show people.

In fairness to Scourge, somebody was going to say it.

When talking about the Kardashians, it is probably a "Godwin's Law" style inevitability that somebody is going to say something like "the Turks had a point".

Voting for the 2013 Hall of Fame is up, viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1475

This year, fans get to decide both entries in the Hall of Fame.

This is my favorite part of the HoF voting: Choice-explainin' and the friendly/murderous discussion that follows!

Barricade - Every year until it happens.

Springer - He's had a good showing recently, getting good roles in some good comics, a good remolded toy, and then a fantastic new toy that's in the running for my favorite TF this year. Plus, leader of the Wreckers and all-around cool guy.

Optimus Primal - Fiction-wise, Primal's one of, if not the, most important character in the late original-G1-derived timeline, and I actually didn't hate what they did with him continuing on through Universe. I'd like to see him, the original version, I mean, make a comeback somehow, and an acknowlegement of just how instrumental he was in the story would be a start. Plus, if BW Megatron's in there, it's only fair for Primal to make it in.

Galvatron - Just one of my all-time favorite TF characters anyway, even if I'm not crazy about the recent version as portrayed in the comics (his last appearance in 'Chaos' was a step up, but then, anything would be). Still, Galvatron deserves recognition, for both his unique characterization (less TFs than you'd think can be called Legitimately Insane) and that his portrayal and character distinctly doesn't rely on him being rebuilt from Megatron.

Devastator - Truth be told, I wanted to vote for just Scrapper, another personal favorite, but Devastator all together is a more viable choice, and worth nominating for continuing to be the iconic representation of the Gestalt concept. Devastator's one of the few "TFs that people on the street might remember" that isn't in the Hall of Fame yet, and his status as a big green combining construction-vehicle-guy is instrumental in him having that sort of staying power. He's important as a natural expansion of the core TF concept, and his symbolization of that merits recognition.

I could be swayed on Springer and Optimus Primal, but I wasn't sure if Springer was really the right comics character as he's kinda been out of the picture lately since LSOTW so I'm keeping my options open on characters who are really bringing it in the comics. If Hasbro had delivered to BBTS on time I'd probably be more excited because I'd have the new figure, but NOOOOO. As for OPrimal, great character but I just don't think about him as much lately compared to the other BW entries that have already made HOF.

Galvatron never did all that much for me before, I'd vote for Cyclonus over him, especially the MTMTE turn on the character, but that's not enough for me to say HOF yet.

Barricade, I still don't get it. The more movies we get, the less he does. He's mainly "the movie decepticon that spoke and interacted for a few moments" to me, and that's not Hall of Fame-worthy.

Devastator is on my current vote list.

Mirage is on my list, feels like Mirage is getting woefully forgotten lately despite having a great look, good skillset, and unique backstory.

Brawn is on my list again thanks to the cartoon take on the character, love that little bastard. The toy seems kinda G1-iconic too.

Ravage is on my list but I suspect I'll pull him again like last year, he was my favorite cassette minion but every new iteration seems lesser-than, even the MP version.

Jetfire is currently on my list but didn't make the final list last year and likely won't this year either.

Ravage: Because I think one of the tapes needs to be there and he's the one "cassetticon" that has appeared in the most stuff.

Jetfire: Because Jetfire.

Blacharachnia: Just so that my list wasn't entirely 1984 Geewunny and I think she's a character from later on that's been relevant in other parts of the franchise.

Ultra Magnus: Because he's been getting a lot of facetime lately and why not?

Galvatron: Because if we have Megatron we might as well acknowledge his reformatted version.

Runner ups:

Barricade: I almost put him as my number 4 just to represent movieverse, but Bayformers is the only place he's been relevant.

Knock out: See above but Prime instead of Bayformers.

Sideswipe: Because I thought some more of the original Autobots should have been there, but then I thought better of it.

Devastator: Because there should probably be a combiner in there at some point and Devs is the most iconic of them.
